I stole this from the Richjerk Forums and posted it here.  Apparently as you will read it was also stolen from another forums.  I have a couple of questions regarding this.  A) What do you seasoned Veterans think and B) is there a script or program or bot or something that will speed up the process of posting articles to 100 or so sites a day?  I've been trying to figure out a use for a website for a bit now and this sounds like a pretty promising start.  Anyways, without further ado:

_____________________________________________________________________

This is from another forum and is an excellent post for newbies who are stuck on ideas to make money.

REPEAT: I am not the author. Just reposting from another forum.Good Beginners Tutorial
This is the article drgonzo was referring to ::This is not gospel but seems to be good info. Take caution.

Everytime we see someone make a post promising you how to make $100 a day we see members flood around and go crazy.

If I was starting out again and wanted to make money quickly without spending anything other than my own effort this is the method I would do.

When you break it down you realize that the $100 a day target is not that hard to achieve.

Let's break it down.

- We'll promote an affiliate product that pays roughly at least a $25 commission. This way I only need at least 4 sales a day to make $100.

- I'm going to pick a real tangible product that is in high demand.

- After looking around the product I choose is a High Definition Television. Big demand for these and affiliate commissions are high.

- I now look in Amazon's bestsellers to see what is popular.

- The most popular HDTVs are Samsung models roughly priced between $500 - $2000. Amazon pays a 4% commission on these so if I sold a $1000 TV I'd get $40.

Now how do I make money with this???

- First I will make a quick website that I can create a price comparison page on. I want to compare at least 3 prices from around the web for the particular model I choose to promote

- I join the Amazon Affiliate program and also two other affiliate programs in Commission Junction that sell this TV. These pay between $25 and $150 for each sale I generate depending on the model and the particular affiliate program.

That means I need between 1-2 sales a day on average to reach my $100 a day goal - see how real this goal is becoming!!!

- To get started I simply make a page that compares the three prices outlining the best price. This page is useful to visitors as they can quickly find the cheapest TV while I get paid a commission... brilliant.

Now all I need is traffic...

- I give the price comparison the title of:
"Samsung LNT4661F 46 inch HDTV Price Comparison."
I also fill it with lots of content about the TV to make sure I can attract lots of SE traffic.

- Now I need to build links to the site to help get SE traffic. I will do this with article marketing.

This is where I write an article and submit it to xxx number of directories. The articles give linkbacks to my site (helping to get more SE traffic) and also the articles can get traffic themselves (as they also rank in the search engines) meaning the users will click the links in the article and land at my price comparison pages.

- What I don't want to do is write 1 article and submit it to 100 directories - this is fine but not the most effective way as Google will treat 99% of them as duplicate content.

- Instead I will write one article but use JetSpinner (free) to spin it into 100 unique articles with unique titles. This way the chance of being hit for duplicate content is less - and each article will be slightly different so get rankings for slightly different phrases.

How to write the articles for traffic

- The most important thing in an article is making sure the title contains a strong keyword phrase. See my post on this here.

- I did a search for a "Samsung LNT4661F 46 inch HDTV" in Google. There were NO exact matches.
WOW!!!! I can really break into this little niche very easily.

- I could come up with plenty more little variations like:
Samsung LNT4661F 46 inch TV
Samsung LNT 4661F 46 inch HDTV
Samsung LNT4661F 46 inch High Def TV
Samsung LNT 46 inch HDTV
Samsung LNT4661F etc...

- Using Jetspinner I could create 100 variations of the title of my article to be used in my article submissions.

- Chances are some of these articles will hit the top 10 in Google, MSN and Yahoo and people will read the articles and click through to my price comparison site. Plus the extra link backs will also raise the rankings of my price comparison pages.

Rinse and Repeat

- Each day I make a new price comparison page for a HDTV model

- Each Day I submit 100 variations of my article to 100 directories. The articles links back to my site and each submission of 100 articles drives a trickle of traffic (say just 10 visitors a day).

- After 1 month I have had 30 submission and get 300 visitors a day. Because the traffic is so targeted and the page I drive visitors to is actually useful for every 300 visits I get at least 1 sale.

- That's at the very least $50 a day - but probably more if I get higher conversions.

If I do exactly the same in the next month and I've reached my $100 a day guaranteed!

It's because you pulled it from another forum. And basically Geese I will be blunt with you. I have covered this already on my blog.

This is called "shooting in the dark". If you want to stay on the lowly side of the marketing world then this method is one you WANT to do. Any marketer serious about making money online is NOT going to spend all this time on something they are not sure is a SURE thing. Sorry that's the way it is.

Let me ask you this. Would you truly consider finding a product and start centering a site/blog or whatever around it if it had LOTS of searches and LOW competition? My guess is a lot of people would say yes and that's the wrong answer. Quite simply these are "herd" marketers. They are sheep. They follow what other people who dont know what the f#ck they are talking about. A pretty good reason why this forum is here. If a newbie opens their mouth with bad advice, you can bet it doesn't stay on this board for very long.

I cant control that in an open forum and thats why we have people who made $10 yesterday giving advice. Please. So when you post something like this, people look at you in a certain way. Most of the people of this forum have read everything I have ever said in RJ, BHW or WF or my blog and most of them realize that this method is long and tedious.

There's nothing saying you cant do this method. However there is vital information missing at the start of this post. Kind of like is this product profitable? Oh..how profitable? type of stuff.

If you pick something out with a lot of searches and low competition, that is only the beginning of your market research. Anyone serious about making money online is not going to go run out and make a site over it.

BTW -- With obscure keywords like whats in the post, this is a horrible example and makes me give this person less credibility. They are obscure and generic. I realize you can get keywords for everything but this method takes a lot of your time for very little return.

Yeah, you know what makes me laugh? Do a google search for "Samsung LNT4661F 46 inch HDTV" and the only results you get are half a dozen copies of that forum post.

There ought to be a term for that, something like 'accidental meta-SEO'.

Lol...

I knew someone would chime that in. Of course we all know that was an example, but I knew someone would bring that up Wink...

This whole method is really about taking the scenic route to get to your destination. While it might be cool and you might see some interesting things along the way, this is not nor should be a quick way to get there.

There you go - See I learned some things already!  Keep in mind that you guys just answered my questions!  Thats what I was looking for.

So now I guess I will have to look and see on here if there is something for a newbie to do that is workable.

Im brainstorming ideas.

Remember when you guys were clueless?  See you said, "I knew someone would chime that in." but what you might not have considered is that some new people may not even have the knowledge or wherewithal to know to do that let alone chime it in.  I am sure I am not just speaking for myself when I say there are people that may be here who have not had an opportunity to read all your posts quite yet and those people are here to learn as well.

All Im looking for is a solid idea for a earn while I learn method.  Right now I am trying to earn first and then take the money make to spend on things like EBAY ads for e-books to boost e-mail contacts in an auto-responder and also then maybe some idea to use on a webpage that is worth while.  I have article writing for places like AC and using a book like Supertips but I want to do this self sustaining SO I would like to make money to feed money making.  The right way.

I am reading the blog and forums when I can.  Good thing is that you have a lot of posts filled with information over there and Im sure that you talked about this.  The bad news is that it does indeed take time to peruse all those articles.  Im sure when I finish all of them I will be a happy man but I have yet to do a speedreading course so time is still an issue.

Thanks for the info

Yea it does take some time,

No doubt in my mind you'll be successful Geese. I always try to answer questions as brutally as possible too. I can tell you already understand that. 2 kinds of people will read the answers and interpret differently. First ones get pissed and usually disappear. Second ones, say thanks for the wake up and takes action.

I am proud to see your in the good group man Wink

Geese Howard

If I might jump in here, If there's one thing we have in common it 's that were always looking for that..
" will have to look and see on here if there is something for a newbie to do that is workable"

That where my problem is (was) always looking for something easy ,the type of thing that you just press the button and the money starts to roll in ,Well let me tell ya it isn't going to happen.I have been mucking about for a year now ,no real accomplishments to speak of .I have been buying a lot of stuff, buying into a lot of stuff waisting a lot of $$$$$ on #$%^% .I'm sure you get the picture.

What it all come down to is that there is a few people that I should of listed to when i first got started and YES Ruck was one of them .He is the one that got me addicted to this ,this stuff is worse then drugs ,but has cost me about the same Roll Eyes

So what am I trying to say is ...
1) pick something and work with it till you get it figured out, forget about jumping on the new latest and greatest Quick money making tactic cuz buy the time a nood figures out how to do it and gets the ball rolling the Quick Tactic Dead.

2)don't buy any info on how to make money IM'ing  all the good info you'll ever need is here just ask or it can be found on the net somewhere for FREE.The only money you really need to spend is for hosting and a domain even the hosting can be had for free and maybe a auto responder of sorts

3)Have patients and set goals , now set realistic goals like $5-$20 a day not like $100 or more cuz if you don't reach them you'll only frustrate yourself and then give up .If you set it lower and you make 5 and you goal was 10 or 20 you have a better chance of reaching that and you'll try harder ,if it was 100 and you made 5 you'll give up.

Hope some of this makes sense Grin

Thanks guys.

And yes I appreciate brutally honest.  Let's just say hypothetically for a moment that there was a community on the internet much like this one but that instead of making money it was more about how to score more with the ladies (however it actually crosses over into this niche ironically enough).  And hypothetically speaking, of course, let's just say that I am somewhat of an advice giver to certain individuals in that niche.  Well then I would be brutally honest about it because it is, in my opinion, the best way to be.

Like it or not is not the important issue - it is simple honesty - which is the only way people should teach because beating around the bush and playing nice might F### someone over in the long run.

And ya - if they can't take the heat of a message board then how in the heck can they take it when the real heat is on and there's money on the line or a hungry, angry preditorial woman in your face whos trying to make you think you're the one who's hunting her (another forums post  Roll Eyes  )

Anways yea.  Thanks for being that guy - I can really appreciate it.
