Getting Prepared For Valentine’s Day
One of the biggest keys to making a huge payday (or month
) is gearing up for the holidays. November was actually better for me (PPC wise) than December. I got hammered with other projects in December and paused a lot of campaigns that were running just so I didn’t have to monitor them. As far as gearing up for the holidays, I ran only 1 offer.
Valentine’s day is coming up in a little over a month. That is about when I start gearing up for these paydays. If you want a great example of what can happen when you research, plan and execute properly then I would suggest taking a look at CDF Networks post Breaking The $1,000 Per Hour Barrier. This is a prime example of major preparation before the holidays.
So here’s some tips on how to prepare yourself:
1. Start utilizing Google Hot Trends and Yahoo Buzz and start looking for keywords that will start to climb. Of course right now you may be watching for yet another couple of weeks before you start seeing consistent keywords popping up but this will be a good exercise for you to start monitoring markets and keywords. If you don’t know how to do it properly then starting here is a great way for you to get this method down now so that you can apply it later on to Easter, Mother’s Day, Independence Day and etc.
2. Grab yourself a complimentary copy of Benjamin Maker’s GTrends Made Easy. This is a completely free tool provided by Benjamin (who reads this blog and is a member of my Discussion Forum). The tool is super easy to use and will be a great asset for both search campaigns and optimizing blogs. Yes, this tool will retrieve the pages in Google for every keyword. You could start in just a few minutes gearing up a Valentine’s blog with a ton of keywords that have hardly any competition in the SERP’s.
Tips To Optimize Your Landing Page For A Better Quality Score
There’s no doubt that the Google Adwords game is always changing and sometimes with certain campaigns even I struggle to keep up. However, when building landing pages/sites to advertise with Google PPC the following has never once failed me. Unfortunately, it’s not easy to build EVERY page/site or like this and I will never deny that I much rather link directly to a merchant’s page then sending people to mine before accessing the offer. With all this set aside, the first thing you ever need to worry about is bowing down to Google and optimizing your pages/sites for the dreaded quality score they put on you for your search campaigns. Here are some great tips to help get you a better score.
#1 Content Rules In Both Organic And Paid Search
Google has never really come out and said that your site/pages HAVE to be indexed to get a good quality score in Adwords. However in my own testing I have found that I fair a lot better for the long term with a site that has its landing pages indexed. A lot of testing throughout this past year with static HTML sites showed me that these were a little bit harder to get indexed and sometimes took a lot longer. My #1 weapon for this is WordPress. I build ALL of my PPC landing sites/pages on WordPress. Quite simply, it only takes me less than half a day to reach the index. So instead of waiting days or weeks for a static page to get indexed I can create them on WordPress and ping it. What this does is let certain search engines around the web know that I have updated content. It’s also in my testing that I noticed Google loves fresh content and this is EXTREMELY important to the longevity of your quality score to your keywords and ad groups going to your landing pages. With WordPress and average landing page takes me less than 10 minutes. Quite simply, I can create 250-300 landing pages a month just by taking breaks out my daily routines and adding another post/page to my WordPress sites.
The Death Of SubDomains?
I have been pondering this thought for over a month now. I would like to point out right now that this is my own thinking and is not set in stone. Please do not take this as SEO advice. It has not happened yet, and may never happen. However, I feel I need to comment on this because there are just so many things that lead me to believe that this could in fact happen.
One of the greatest things I have ever done was saved money by making subdomains off a domain. However, as changes have occurred over the last year, I feel Google is looking to maybe change that up. Unfortunately for me, I could be talking out my ass and in fact be completely wrong. I sure hope so. As someone who practices SEO like it was a religion though, this is shit that flows thru this mind of mine everyday.
Over the last year, I have seen Google knock the snot out of MFA’s (made for adsense) sites and then turn around later and knock the piss out of direct links leading to Email and Zip submits. This has not only hurt some of my income but it also has slowed me down in expanding my income as well. Now, I have to create even more landing pages instead of trying to squeeze shit by the Internet Gods. However, the alternatives of breaking their TOS with cloaks has befallen me this year, and I made quite a bit of money. Utilizing redirects and offer framing has proved to be quite profitable as well.
Best Of 2007 On CashTactics
I went thru my archives and hand picked some posts I thought were pretty good before we head into the New Year. Enjoy!
Back In August I gave some general tips over making money with P2P Networks and Torrents. Torrents are still alive and kicking and I have not really spoken of them since this last post. I really should but the fact of the matter is that this method is very petty and so very easy to do. However, I bet 99% of the people who read this post probably didn’t even try it or quickly gave up on it. Let’s take a look at just one program I promoted with these petty torrent methods.
Here are payments for the last 6 months. For a method so easy I sure seen a lot of bitching from people who said “it’s too much work”. Here’s what happens when you dedicate yourself to a project for a couple of hours a week no matter how petty, simple and boring it is.

Also in August, I wrote a free report detailing how I go about getting high rankings for articles. I normally do not write my own articles but I do however use the methods described because it seems nobody can get it right even with a guide. I guess that just goes to show that what works for someone, may not necessarily work for another. However, the guide is free and it’s a great read….(IMO). :)
In September I also introduced a way to advertise your blog cheaply utilizing Stumbleupon. I have tested this out a few times and it seems to work well. When I say that, what I really mean is that as cheap as it is, you get back about the same return. However, it’s a great traffic building method and I am sure the right type of blog will make the difference.
Google Placement Targeting For Starters
It seems with my last post on PPC, readers have been wanting more information on how to do this. There are even a few forum threads that have been sparked over the topic. I think I will try to take a swipe here and answer a few general questions and dispell a few myths.
First off, if you have never used Google Adwords then you had better get educated….and fast. Adwords is a beast and it will kick you in the nether region faster than almost any advertising platform on the planet. So, I am not going to teach you AdWords. Go learn it. Second, if you have never done a placement campaign it gets even worse for you. I hope when everyone read my previous post they realized I have been using for Pay Per Click for about two years now. That’s two years of throwing money down the drain testing offers and then kicking Adword’s ass by establishing profitable campaigns. It takes time, and if your not going to be patient then your only hurting yourself. You might want to start at the learning center for more information on a placement campaign.
Is there some secret to making money with Adwords? Uhh no.
The only thing really about paying for your advertisements is profit. There are tons of other things to consider but if your profit outweighs your spend, your on the right track. Those other things will come to you. The first thing you need to do though is gain experience with Adwords. There are tons of ebooks out there that you can get for free to get some knowledge about Adwords. I would suggest the learning center (link above) to get started though.
PPC And CPA – Thinking Outside The Box
Everyone wants on the PPC to CPA train. There is no doubt that driving thousands of people to CPA offers CHEAPLY is a great way to make a TON of money online. However, it’s not as easy as it seems. Trust me on this one, I have experienced nearly every failure a man (women too!) can experience using PPC to drive traffic to CPA offers. However, when I quit screwing around and started putting some actual thought of identifying where my hungry markets were, I started experiencing some success. More importantly, I quit spending my built up bankroll and started experiencing profits. A little profit came in and it was a rollercoaster to where I am at now to get to some serious money. It can be a rough trip but let me throw a few examples of how I have overcome high bid prices and not fighting so much competition.
Last night I was having a conversation with a web designer over IM. However he is not just a web designer. We have been talking a few a nights now and I have come to find out that he’s just a little bit older than me and into almost everything from movies, music and ideas as myself. This was kind of like a blessing as he stayed up till the wee hours each morning with me doing some design when my traffic hours would be at their lowest. I was able to discover that he has experienced some success with the Google Adwords content network. Grinning from ear to ear behind my PC, I decided we would take a break and talk a little in-depth about some of the things I have accomplished on the Content Network. Oh before I forget, you should probably listen to all them dipshits out there that tell you the content network is worthless. :)
Yahoo And Adobe Partner Up – US Content Publishers Get New Advertising Opportunity
Alright I realize I am a little late on this one, but I have been swamped to no end. Unfortunately, I am about a week late on this announcement but I felt compelled to let US Content Publishers as well as advertisers know that Yahoo and Adobe have indeed partnered up and will be serving content ads within Adobe PDF.
Great news for all that can participate. I am curious to know what type of results to see as an advertiser with Yahoo. I much rather have the option of picking the documents I would like to advertise in but unfortunately knowing the nature of Yahoo moving as fast as a fart stink in the Antarctic this feature is probably light years away. I guess it is something to get excited about as a content publisher.
Maybe now all those damn resell rights book that aren’t earning anything could pull a little cheese. My biggest concern now as a I start publishing more and more of my content is that the focus of the PDF itself has it’s own purposes. Most of the time I would have a chance for an upsell or at least something to entice people to sign up for a list I might have. I am wondering what type of distractions this may cause.
Thinking about Yahoo’s side of the fence, they desperately need this in their arsenal (IMO). According to the source:
Content now available as paid downloads or on a subscription basis could be opened up to a mass online audience using the Adobe-Yahoo ad service. Some publishers haven’t been taking advantage of ad opportunities for their content. That’s the case with many hobbyist and enthusiast newsletters.

Get $20 In Free Clicks With Bidvertiser
Bidvertiser is one of those 2nd tier search engines that you can advertise on a little bit cheaper than Adwords, Yahoo and MSN. Right now you can get a free $20 in clicks by signing up for a new account with them. I thought since I spoke recently on Google Placement Targeting this might be a great chance for you to get your feet wet WITHOUT spending ANY money.
Bidvertiser is a little bit different than most PPC Engines. As a matter of fact you as an advertiser have ALOT more control as to where you want your ads to appear. They obviously know about SEO Optimization as well because they have been in the top 5 Search Results for the term "make money online" for as long as I can remember. Bidvertiser also has an extremely six step process to get up and running with them in no time.
1. Browse our categorized directory of websites
2. Select the appropriate sites for your business
3. Set your desired geographic targeting
4. Create your text-ad
5. Set budget and capping
6. Your ad is up and running
My personal experiences with Bidvertiser have only been with Arbitrage. Yea, I made money but it wasn’t that much and I stopped before I even got completely rolling with it. When I switched to CPA and PPC on the Big 3 Engines I pretty much left the arbitrage world. However, I know that some of the readers here may find this helpful as it is indeed $20 worth of clicks just to try it out.
