Fall Is Coming – Do You Work Harder Now?

I apologize but this post will probably not help you make money in any way. (LOL) If you do happen to sit down and read the whole thing, then email me and I will send you a shiny new quarter. Well, it may not be new, but if you can sit thru the boring shit I am about to write, then you at least deserve A SHINY QUARTER.

Alright anyway, I am now entering my third fall online. Taking a look back to the first year I came online and started working, I have to say that my life has changed tremendously. I have survived a divorce and a new child birth and I am currently expecting a third child and another shot at marriage with my fiance. Sounds confusing right? It’s actually quite simple. Do not ever work yourself so much that you forget you have a family. I have a stronger desire to work than some probably and it has truly almost cost me my family.

Everything is cool now, but back then with the divorce, then getting back together, then expecting another child, holding down all 3 jobs and trying to make something happen online was just to much. It damn near cost me everything including my health.

Ok enough of the flashback before we all get emotional. Fall is coming and here in Kansas it gets pretty damn cold. I am not much into cold weather. I used to roof houses and pour concrete as a part time job and I can tell you that I can take a 110 degree day a whole lot better than I can take a measly 40 degrees. I am not kidding. I got a left hand and a right elbow that aches every-time it drops below 40 degrees.

Is Marketing To Marketers Your Style?

Some of my viral reports floating around such as the Yahoo Answers Report I have written are always ending up in people’s hands and then somehow they contact me and ask why I did not sell it. First, I happened to write up this report on a whim. I knew what a goldmine Yahoo Answers was and I knew that most people using it were either spamming it, or not getting results from doing it correctly. I put the report together in about an hour and shelled it out here, The Warrior Forum and the TechCrunch forum. Yea, I did give it out to the TechCrunch forum. Why you ask? Well, if you do a search for the reports title in Google you will see why I used the Techcrunch forum. Just a tip for ya :)

Seriously though I have no clue why I spend so much time in Internet Marketing Forums. Maybe it’s because I have a nice passive income that allows me a lot more free time than most. Maybe it’s because I am actually a rarity and really enjoy the company of other marketers. It could be because I like to go there knowing that there is mountains of knowledge there for the taking to help further my online business.

In all actuality all 3 of those are true. I go to these forums to learn, interact and because I have a lot of free time on my hands. I know that time can be applied elsewhere but if you remember (RJ members) back to April, I had a huge mental breakdown and it made me sick.

Key Ingredients To A Recipe Of Internet Marketing Failure

Dont Fail!Far too often and just recently I get the uncomfortable task of watching people go down in a “blaze of glory” so to speak. There is not enough forum posts or coaching in the world to save someone from drowning in the large ocean of Internet Marketing. It is in my experience that if a person is going to fail, there are early signs that indicate that inevitably, a dramatic change is about to occur. Here are some of the things I have seen before someone has completely vanished from the Internet Marketing world.  Use these to your advantage and turn them around if your experiencing a “hard time”. I assure you I have been here before myself, so I am speaking from personal experience. Another thing is that when I say “Internet Marketing” I mean making an income from the computer in general.

Ingredient 1. This is the easiest of them all. You are lazy and do not take action. I assure you that working online is not all bells and whistles. It can be, but the path leading there is a very rough one for most. This is one of the things I stress most when trying to help someone. I push them harder than most, because I want to know if they “have it what it takes”. It is very obvious that if a person cannot take a little verbal pushing, then they are going to have an “extremely” tough time coping with the path that leads to “righteousness”.

Hundreds Of Niches Delivered To Your Inbox Everyday

SpammolaAre you having trouble finding a niche? Can’t seem to quite find out what is selling? Well, today the answers are spelled out in front of you, that even a 5 year old can spell. S.P.A.M.

That’s right, all your niche needs are delivered to your inbox everyday. Whether your the type of person who simply deletes these type of messages or do not even give them the slightest glance, I can assure you that you are missing out on some valuable niche research.

You can get automatic niches sent to you everyday without ever doing an ounce of research or even wanting to receive the information in the first place. Better make good use of it, because Spammers are telling you bluntly what is profitable.

Here are a few things you can use to get this automated bullshit delivered to your inbox or admin panels.

  • Create a wordpress blog and leave every commenting option open so that anyone can comment and trackback, and do not upload any of the spam plugins. Just leave it be.
  • Make sure your able to receive trackbacks. There are gems that lie beneath the spam piles
  • Get a yahoo email account and leave all your preferences on default except the one that tells you to have spam sent to the bulk folder. Get as much of it as you can sent to the bulk folder so that you have a folderized set of niches.

Most of the trackback spammers are focusing on longtail keywords so only a few backlinks is enough to get them listed in Search Engines. As well, “piggybackers” as I like to call them, spammers who use “middle man” sites such as Squidoo and Hubpages will also drop you links and anchor text as to what they are going for.

Take Your Old Articles Off The Shelf And Make Some Money

AcI was taking a look around this morning on all the blog posts I have floating around the net, not just here but on my niche blogs as well. I suddenly remembered a company called Associated Content who I used to write for when I first started out online. They are a very reputable company, and considering the amount of promotional articles I have had laying around for quite awhile, I decided to start submitting them and get something back. Boy are they in for a treat, as I have about 430 articles currently that I have geared up for submission.

Ghostwriting is where I first started making a consistent income online. Associated Content was by far the easiest company to get along with. Most companies have a flat rate of what they will pay you for articles, but at AC they give you an upfront bid on what they will pay. At least there you get options right?

Anyway, if you got articles just sitting around or some that you have submitted to directories, you can still submit them to AC and make a little back with them. I only decided to do it because lately I have been so caught up on things that I am actually getting bored. The pay is expected around $3-$40 per article. It will really just depend on what is in demand and what you want to write about. One thing is for sure, and that it is a surefire way to making some money if your just starting out or are bored like me.

Ac also allows audio and video submissions as well. I would suggest reading up on that before trying it though. Some of the other things that are covered are:

Knowing When To Stop When Your Not Making Money

Here is a very touchy subject that is liable to piss a lot of people off. Before you decide to burn me at the stake, please read the whole article. It is in my opinion that this will be a general lesson that you will get more out of than you think.

There are truly a lot of people working their tails off online. Whether it is to provide a supplemental income or chase the elusive dream of quitting their job or gaining financial independence. There are literally thousands of new online entrepreneurs coming to the web day in and day out plugging into the “Make Money Online” genre.

I will tell you right now, that this is not for everyone. I have had personal acquaintances and even friends from all over the world that have gone down in a “blaze of glory”. Your going to have to face a harsh reality from the get-go that it is most likely (not all the time) going to be a very tough road, for a very long time. Now, I did not say all because I have personally helped people make money online overnight. Some of my fellow RJ members can attest for that. For the most part though, it is a long and daunting headache for awhile.

Realizing when to stop is something you have to train yourself on. Here are some identifying factors that would be included in knowing when it is time to stop:

  • When you cannot get traffic, therefore no money is coming in.

Well That was pretty basic right? Of course,  because it is going to take a lot of traffic to turn people into buyers. Marketing is always a numbers game. Even being a webmaster is a numbers game. The more traffic you have, the more likely your going to get a conversion.

Skype 2.7 Mac Beta Is Up And Running

Skype TechSkype I always try to keep up with the latest in technology. It is a huge part in how I am able to stay ahead or at least on top of the game in the Online Business World. It was recently announced that Skype has just released the all new Mac Beta Skype 2.7 Download. Such a great tool to use, especially in my case, for keeping up with JV’s and Consultations or just to get in touch on a one on one basis with other Business oriented people. Here are some of the key features that it presents:

  • Group contacts – organize your contacts into as many groups as you need. While there are some pre-defined groups (like Online, Waiting Authorization, Recently Contacted), you’re free to add new ones that suit your life. This should be a godsend to those whose contact list has ballooned to hundreds of Skype users. Explore this nifty feature under the cogwheel icon on the main screen.
  • See your Apple Address Book contacts in Skype – easily call or SMS anyone who has a phone number in their address-book profile. When texting, just make sure the number is one that belongs to a mobile phone.
  • Create and manage public chats by clicking on Chats in the menu bar and choosing Start Public Chat. A public-chat assistant will walk you through the necessary steps.
  • Auto Redial for busy or unconnected calls. When your call hits the busy signal, Skype will give you the option of automatic redial every two minutes until the call goes through. This setting can also be adjusted in Skype > Preferences > Calls.
  • Easy sound-level controls – when you need to tweak the sound level during a call, use a simple slider in the call window

Short Lived Success At The Cost Of Your Reputation

SuccessWARNING: This Post WILL Offend The People I Am Directing This Towards

Begin Rant: I was really trying to hold this off as long as I could. Unfortunately, at the expense of yet another forum blowup and yet another reputation shot to hell, I feel I must stick a really sharp needle in this balloon, and burst this bubble that has been nagging me for ages.

There is a new age of Internet Marketers among us. Whether we accept or not is irrelevant, they are here and they are penetrating more and more forums everyday. It seems that this generation of Internet Marketer likes to take on the persona that they are someone else. Whether it be a person who is successful, a copy of a persona already portrayed online, or just a blatant liar who thinks that what they are doing is “cool”. I have personally known, and still know people that portray this image. Do I agree with it? No. Do I hound them like it was my business? No. I probably should, yet I wait and let them destruct themselves.

Most of the people who I approached in the past that portrayed a “false” persona, usually turned into an argument. Sometimes it spilled right out into the public view. I have since held my tongue since the last person I went after, as it almost cost me a forum membership. I knew for a fact he was a fraud, I didn’t want to prove it. What I really wanted to do is push him over the edge, until he admitted it himself. In most cases, I must have a gift or something, because I can usually push people to the edge, and when they actually realize how deep the whole is going to be, they give up, admit they were wrong and usually disappear.
