If you know anything about the Acai Berry or the Google Bizops going around then you will know that most of the landing pages that affiliates are creating have several testimonials included.  Here are some exerpts from the new amendment to these rules.  These were last updated in 1980!

Under the revised Guides, advertisements that feature a consumer and convey his or her experience with a product or service as typical when that is not the case will be required to clearly disclose the results that consumers can generally expect. In contrast to the 1980 version of the Guides – which allowed advertisers to describe unusual results in a testimonial as long as they included a disclaimer such as “results not typical” – the revised Guides no longer contain this safe harbor.

Also this:

both advertisers and endorsers may be liable for false or unsubstantiated claims made in an endorsement – or for failure to disclose material connections between the advertiser and endorsers.

Do we have to state that we get a commission per sale of a product?  This can be very interesting.  Will we now hear Oprah say “Acai Berry X paid me $1 Million to tell you their product ROCKS!” ???

Cashtactics.net t-shirts have been made and sent off to the printers.  This has actually been in the process for a long time now and I just need to get to the phone and call them with the sizes that I need. The shirt was originally designed a few months back and due to some busy schedule I have had I just never got it to a printer.  Well the design is now at the printer and just needs a phone call from me to say DO IT. I changed the design colors so I could drop this on a black shirt.  I’ve played around with a few colors and this looks the best.  A white shirt looks good to but just reminds me of a plain old “T”. Here is a pic of the shirt for those of you who haven’t seen this yet.

Okay moving on. Wednesdays we are going to continue the live uStream cast.  It was pretty fun jumping on a cam and talking with other bloggers and readers of Cashtactics.  We really didn’t talk about anything good we just kinda messed around and chatted about nothing.  When I jump on this week I do want to spend some time talking about some stuff.  And every week I’ll try and talk about a few things I find are important and give some tips. That’s all of the news that I can think of right now.  I’m sure their is more but I’m busy busy busy and can’t remember anything else.  Oh hey… I’ve had a few people ask me when Andrew is going to post a PPC suicide post.  I don’t know the answer so stop asking LOL.  He has been visiting his parents and should be back in a couple of days.

OH another thing… recently I have been getting a lot of comments in the blog from what appears to be spam but they are legitimate responses.  The problem I’m having is they are definitely attempts to get some SEO links to sites.  If I see these I will do 1 of 2 things.  1.  I’ll erase the URL in your comment or 2. I’ll delete your comment if you make a bunch in 2 minutes.  Posting things like that is like shitting on my blog… You don’t see me going over to your place and taking a dump on your front porch.  GTFO.

I read a comment in one of my earlier posts, where someone suggested that I start a blog of my own. To be honest, I’m not sure if I want to. It’s not an easy thing to keep up and there is very little monetary return. It is proven that my business will grow faster and better by not blogging at all. Then why am I blogging on CashTactics? Because, blogs where my main source of information at one point in time. So I want to give back and do what I can to help. There is no secret club, their is no handshake and I for one damn sure do not sit back and laugh when I get something a little offending or even mean written to me. In all actuality I always feel like I should have done more in the post. Had I been blogging here a year ago, I would not have had the same attitude. Back in my heavy spamming and blackhat days I would have most certainly provoked you thru the comments. I would have pissed you off to the point you thought you were going to burst. You know what though? That shit is lame, it makes everyone look completely stupid and damn sure does not help either or all parties reading to further businesses online.

Seeing comments like that leads me to believe that some affiliates and aspiring web entrepreneurs are still living in la la land. Put that f#cking ebook down for 5 minutes and hear me out.

First off there is no magic involved. Damn, I wish there was but their isnt. If you want to refer to at is at magic, then by all means do so but I am here to tell you that the magic is ENTIRELY consisted of work ethic, persistence and most important of all…………..testing.

A lot of the Make Money Bloggers I see out there are trying to make money with their blog. While I am not totally against this, I find it a conflict of interest when reading a make money blog that is only writing to monetize its readers. Another really big pet peeve is the ones that write about tactics or methods that they have no clue about or have not done themselves. This really pisses me off because they are only writing on speculation and not actual testing. We can consider this almost as bad as false information. The biggest of them all though is the make money bloggers who are still working a fulltime job. Granted their might be some bloggers out there that love their job but the majority of them portray online success AND still punch a time clock. *Uggh*

So Why Dont Make Money Bloggers Reveal Their Secrets?

I just covered most of it. Most of them are only blogging for dollars, or have not even performed the methods they are describing. However for the bloggers THAT are doing it big and working online fulltime I will come from a personal perspective and tell you why.

Quite simply it’s because even if I did, what good is it to you? Would you take action right away and copy me? If you did that still does not matter. Do you think if you copy me to a T you can make it a success? Even if you did make it this one thing a success, do you think you can replicate it into everything you go into? Can you replicate success and keep it going?

Even when I throw a great idea out there and or report something that is successful people will always want to know more. They have already perpetuated in their mind that I have left some inside secret out. Most of the time I do, want to know what it is? It’s called TESTING. Dont copy me and try to be successful, take the idea of what I am doing and do it better or at the very least tweak it and see what you come up with.

Bloggers who are making money online and doing it exclusively are going to repeat and repeat the basics of everything. SEO, PPC, Email Marketing, and Traffic ideas all fall into this. They know that for ANYONE to become successful at it they are going to take these basics and test them out. Thinking there is some hidden gem on the Internet is like leading the sheep to slaughter. You know your going to die (fail), you just dont know when. Keeping up with the latest news and reading what make money bloggers is good in every sense that you SHOULD take something away from the information you read, but what you do with it is totally going to rely on the education you have already got and your work ethic.  Thinking their are hidden secrets lying about and that you just have not found them yet is stupid and will keep you in the mindset of negativity until you realize that you already know and learn is only going to be successful if you try it on and test it yourself.

 Anyway I just basically setup a whole new account and cannot even delete my old because Technorati makes it impossible. I saw in my old account a few blogs I had favorited so I went ahead and added them again. If you have a blog though we can do the ole Technorati switcheroo on the favorites thing. Second Israel has made this book freely available. It’s a short but very detailed book on some exercises to do while you work throughout your day. I loved how he put together the workouts to work in conjunction with your daily work schedule. Here’s an excerpt:

The way he tied it all together is pretty cool and helpful at the same time. He did not come up with just some lame workouts but he thought them out and I can tell these are workouts he performs throughout his day. I am putting this book into motion ASAP.

Back In August I gave some general tips over making money with P2P Networks and Torrents. Torrents are still alive and kicking and I have not really spoken of them since this last post. I really should but the fact of the matter is that this method is very petty and so very easy to do. However, I bet 99% of the people who read this post probably didn’t even try it or quickly gave up on it. Let’s take a look at just one program I promoted with these petty torrent methods.

Here are payments for the last 6 months. For a method so easy I sure seen a lot of bitching from people who said “it’s too much work”.  Here’s what happens when you dedicate yourself to a project for a couple of hours a week no matter how petty, simple and boring it is.

Also in August, I wrote a free report detailing how I go about getting high rankings for articles. I normally do not write my own articles but I do however use the methods described because it seems nobody can get it right even with a guide. I guess that just goes to show that what works for someone, may not necessarily work for another. However, the guide is free and it’s a great read….(IMO). :)

In September I also introduced a way to advertise your blog cheaply utilizing Stumbleupon. I have tested this out a few times and it seems to work well. When I say that, what I really mean is that as cheap as it is, you get back about the same return. However, it’s a great traffic building method and I am sure the right type of blog will make the difference.

Also in September I touched a bit on using Google Groups. Both Google and Yahoo Groups are goldmines, and I bet since I haven’t talked about them recently that most people don’t utilize these services. This is a huge mistake. Did you know that if you have a Yahoo Group you can sign up for Article Marketer and have yourself to be put in their distribution queue? Or how about having your own article directory and being in their submission queue? Who cares if it’s duplicate content, your going to have so much of it, your not going to be able to avoid NOT getting traffic. Spamming the groups is always fun for quick cash too. Who does that though? The power is in having your own group.

In October I finally revealed what led me to believe I could work fulltime online. It seems the post touched a few nerves. That was really the point. If a dumb redneck from Kansas can make half a million dollars online in his first full year exclusively online, so can you.

I also did my 5 day case study with Copeac. If you haven’t signed up with Copeac, then you really need to. They are a great network and I haven’t had any problems with them so far. However, I am only running two of their offers on their network and these offers are on one of my lower trafficked websites. However, I have squeezed a little over $1,400.00 just by placing a couple of banners on a site.

It was during this same month that I also revealed some stats on one of my “baby” sites. Say what you will about such sites, but someone has to sell the dream. I revealed a net profit of over $159,000.00 that this site has pulled. This site is ran between a partner and I. We launched the site in late January of 2007. We haven’t added it up yet but between membership sales and CPA from within the site, the newsletter and monthly broadcasts, I would bet that it’s at least over the $200,00 net profit mark.

I am kind of hoping to see if it’s a quarter million. How cool would that be? One night of work with a partner yields a website that does a quarter million dollars in less than a year. For all the doubters out there, this stat alone is enough to keep you twiddling your thumbs at your day job. For everyone else it should serve as inspiration. It can be done, but it could NOT be done without the support of our affiliates.

We have held the #1 best selling product in the PayDotCom Marketplace with this site since February and NOBODY has even come close to touching us. Between fees and affiliate payouts, I would say we done damn near $600,000.00 total. Not too shabby.

We also have a replica membership site on Clickbank as well. This is called affiliate dominance. I don’t really care for half-assing it. I prefer pure market dominance.

In November I introduced my 4 step video marketing method. This is truly some of the easiest money I have ever made and there are many variations to monetize this with. Domain parking, affiliate marketing, and Pay Per Lead are just a few. I have actually built a few mini sites that are completely ran using these methods. I get a little bit of search traffic, but I can just easily take videos, watermark them and upload to over 25 sites with just a few clicks. There’s a little more to it than that, but not much. A really simple method.

I also tested out a new PPC advertising platform called Clickriver. If memory serves me right, I made about $1,000.00 before Clickriver changed up their system. You were allowed to place advertisements within Amazon’s marketplace. However, Amazon must have felt that they were sending too many people out and Clickriver quickly changed their TOS and how to advertise. A sad day really, because I was truly rocking out pretty good with them.

 I also gave out my exact method to utilizing Yahoo Buzz to gauge market trends. Along with Yahoo Buzz their is also Google Trends and both of them have proved to be real money makers for me. Hell, I would go as far to say that about 25% of my PPC campaigns were based off these after the later part of August.

In December I introduced how to rock out with an affiliate mashup. It was a basic principle aimed at more advanced marketers. The concept is still pretty new to me however both of the mashup sites I own have generated me a nice amount over the last couple of months:

Like I said the concept is still very fresh in my mind and am still working harder than ever on refining it. With just a couple of mashups and the traffic methods of PPC and SEO this is not a bad return so far.

I feel that I could definitely get a few more and turn these sites into an easy $100,000 a year business. That’s the plan anyhow.

It was in December that I also introduced some ideas for how I handle my Parasite SEO. Most people will try to tell you that this is worthless or for a small return. However, they were obviously doing it wrong or made it very hard on themselves. One of the first things I did with my mashup sites was link them with authoritative links from high traffic and good pagerank sites. It works, don’t let anyone tell you it doesn’t. It may be a bit time consuming at first, but it can be easily outsourced.

Of course there was also the Zero 2 Hero – 60 Days To List Building course that I wrote as well. This is by far one of the easiest methods to build email lists. However, it seemed most of the people that tried this didn’t have a clue as to what email list building was all about. Unfortunately, the course was not about how to email market but rather how to build email lists. It was sad that the #1 ebook I used in the method went off the shelf, but hey, that’s tough love. I was able to quickly pick up another book, before I decided to put my own together.

Well, that is just a few posts and a little bit of the money I made over my first full year working exclusively online. Anyone that tells you that this is hard is only half true. Most of the people that tell you that making money online is hard, usually aren’t making this type of money. Yea, I work a lot of hours, probably more than most, but that is what happens when you love your job. So keep plugging away and I hope to write up some more great ideas and methods as we progress into 2008.

Anyway, Entrecard and Scratchback are cool ideas (I guess) but they just aren’t for this blog. I would rather take one serious person wanting to learn how to make money online, then 50 Entrecard droppers that don’t have a clue as to what they are doing. I find dropping the business card off a little petty anyway. To tell you the truth, I only dropped mine off out of courtesy to other bloggers, who I already knew. So now we can get back on track here and not worry about that annoying horseshit that used to be in my sidebar.

I recommended this post because I have actually read almost everything Josh has put out on his blog and the Warrior Forum. The guy is a real class act ETHICAL marketer. I find myself hanging onto his blog during my time of reform. Whether he knows it or not, or ever finds out, he has written a TON of great content that has made me stop and take a long, hard look at myself. I’m not saying that I will ever stop my aggressive marketing tactics, but I have definitely taken a lot of what he says and does and tried to apply it to myself. I don’t know if I will ever completely stop some of my aggressive (aka blackhat) marketing, but I have definitely slowed down.

Ahh Dammit. Another good blog down. I was over at Sitepointand saw CashQuests sold for $15,000.00. I guess a “congrats” are in order for Kumiko. I have always enjoyed her posts and unique writing style. I believed she kind of wrote like I did, with nothing held back and always expressing herself in truest form. She is also quite brilliant. I figured a lot of blogs to sale since the Pagerank bitch slap. Kumiko also did an outstanding job establishing the CashQuests brand instead of her name.

If her name would have been the brand then it probably would have been a tough sale. Now the new owner can swoop right in and take over the money making posts that makes up Cashquests. While I am happy for, as it truly is “all about making money” I guess, I am a little pissed. I am looking forward to the new posts of the owner. I am all about people proving themselves. I have saved myself a ton of money, (and hopefully others) by staying away from fakes and posers and letting people know about them as well. If this owner doesn’t introduce themselves and provide a little background, well I guess that’s one reader lost.

I do not see how this new owner is going to adapt to the writing style of Kumiko. How could they? She’s one of a kind. Will CashQuests turn into a censored “I don’t have the stuff to say that” type of blog? I hope not.

I haven’t posted all week. Yes I know, I suck right? I been super busy as November and December are my two busiest months of the year. I mainly do PPC in these two months and it requires a lot of testing, tracking, landing page setup, autoresponder sequence writing and all of that good jive. I love it! Anyway, enjoy that tool!
