9 marketing methods
In homage to the date today (9/9/09) I am going to post 9 of my favorite marketing methods. This list is in no particular order. I even threw in a little about offline marketing for your CPA offers. Who knows… Maybe I’ll even take some time over the next week to explain some of these methods for marketing.
- Pay Per Click- This is the most widely known method for Internet marketing. It is super easy to jump onto Google, Yahoo, or Bing, and create an advertisment. There are other networks that you can use as well. Don’t just stick with the big three. One of my most profitable campaigns ever came from a second tier search engine.
- Media Buying- You may or may not have heard of Media Buying before. It’s where you advertise banners on other websites, blogs, or forums. This can be one of the most profitable forms of advertising that I have ever seen. It can also kill your bank account if you don’t do it right. They key (as with any advertising) is to match a sites demographic with the banner you want to place.
- Social Networking- I’m sure we all have a facebook or myspace account. What about a twitter account? Anytime you can use your “friends” to make a quick buck you should give it a shot. Leveraging the power of the social networks can be very beneficial to your long term success. It’s all about the power of the “word”… word of mouth that is. What are other people saying about you?
- Mass Mailing- Not the spammy type of messages. I’m talking about building your own list. Or even renting a list from someone who has done the leg work for you. Of course it will be more profitable if you build the list yourself, however, you can always make money from someone elses list. Building a relationship with the reader is the #1 way to get them to buy what your selling!

2. It’s always important to see what networks are running the same offers. You’ll often see networks giving different payouts for the same offer. GREAT… But don’t go for the highest payout. You should always test the offer against all the networks that you can. Sometimes you will have an offer that converts better with one network over another. It’s weird how it works and I’m not going to get into it… But you get the point.

40 min video on niche research
This video has been long over due. So I’ve been planning on making this vid for the last week or so and I really wanted to get it done yesterday before I went off to bed. Well sure enough I was busy all day yesterday. So… I ended up making this vid at 1am. Now for most affiliate marketers thats no big deal. But for me it is… I usually go to bed pretty early so I was pretty tired towards the end of the vid. Anyways… Enjoy!

Hello ladies and gents. It’s been a while since I’ve made a post, so here I am again. This will be a rather short post, however, do not over look this lightly. I love to network with people, learning from other marketers (or business minded individuals) and by networking is how you discover potential mentors that help you succeed in your given field. Today I want to talk to you about a nifty little script that you can modify your Prosper202 software with that will allow you to see what your landing page click-through-rate is for both individual keywords and individual ad texts that you’ve got in 202.
My friend Jasper, from www.nerdyaffiliate.com had this put together and it’s something I had put on my to do list, but he beat me to it. He has pushed it on his blog at this post: 202 KW CTR Script , you can go there and read more details about it and I highly suggest implementing it immediately if you are using prosper202 for your PPC campaigns. What is the benefit of this you say?
Being able to identify which individual keywords have a poor LP CTR, will enable you to take a much faster action in improving your campaigns performance and ROI. Let me simply illustrate a way that you can see improvements by implementing this script ASAP. Keyword #1 may be getting a 43% LP CTR to the merchant offer but Keyword #5 may be getting only a 23% LP CTR to the merchant offer. Yet, you are sending the traffic from both keywords to the same exact landing page. So let’s take keyword #5 and direct it to its own LP that you’ve customized the text copy and images to directly influence that exact keyword, you will be able to test and improve upon its CTR in a whole new way. Just imagine if that keyword is breaking even or already profitable before you implement this, you can greatly increase your ROI with just a few small efforts.
