Sort of a sad time in my busy life really. Effective immediately CashTactics will be under new leadership. Kris Trujillo whom I consider a friend and a remarkable young man and marketer (of course!) will be taking on the leadership role here and in the Discussion Forum. What gives Ruck, where was the Sitepoint auction?

I always said I would never sell this blog or forum. It was never about the money ( from what this blog has made, you know I’m so right!). I always said that if I was going to stop blogging that I would either find someone whom I trusted to take over or I would simply delete it. However, after meeting a ton of great people and hopefully helping a few out, deleting it is simply not an option. Not with the success some are having, getting rid of the 10 months of information piled up here and in the forum will be better served to someone who is able to dedicate more time to it and carries the same passion with helping people as I do. Kris fits in perfectly. To sell such a blog and community that seems like an insult to me and all of you.

I met Kris in person just last week up in Ottawa, Kansas to discuss this. Even though I have been collaborating with him for over a year now, the guy just seemed like someone I could trust. After many things I have shared with him, I ABSOLUTELY know I can trust him. I hope you will too, cuz honestly, the guy is sharp!

A little background on Kris…

I met Kris over a year ago. Kris brings a ton of knowledge and some really cool aspects to CashTactics. Not only is he a fellow PPC and CPA Marketer but he also deals in retail affiliate marketing and is a product owner who runs his own affiliate program. The difference between Kris and I is that he will be able to carry over the same conversations I had here and add some new flavor. Kris can put another meaning to the term “CashTactics”.

This was something that I simply was not going to be able to do. While I have not given up my personal Affiliate Marketing, I have moved into the Corporate World of running a CPA Affiliate Network. I’ve given up quite a few things to pursue this course of business and now it’s time to shift focus and concentrate primarily on that. On top of this, I am turning towards becoming a Merchant which moves me even further away from Affiliate Marketing. With being a Merchant and concentrating a lot more on email and data collection I feel that some of these topics will be better served where the action projects are taking place.

Another thing is that June is rapidly approaching. I come back from Ad Tech Miami on June 5th and anyone that has ever spoken to me personally already knows that I am a complete no-show in June and thru the summer. While I will be concentrating on the Network and my own personal business, it will slim down tremendously for me. What’s the reason?

I can tell you the reason is that I will be the furthest away from working I can possibly be. I dont take many vacations and by god, I am going to this year. I have no idea where I am going but Lana and the kids and myself are going somewhere! There’s really no point in working your ass off if you dont take time to enjoy it so I intend to do just that.

I’m not really one for goodbyes so I wont give one here. The readers of this blog and members of the forum that have migrated to the Convert2Media Affiliate Network are still working with me and the rest of the C2M team and that is basically where I am concentrating my time. While I do hate to leave, there was never any goals with this blog except to help people and hopefully by sliding Kris in here as a new leader the goals will not go un-met.

I will still be posting here and in the forum as well when I have time. I’m not up and leaving just like that, but I wanted to give a shout-out to let everyone that I am indeed taking a far less active role here and switching gears to concentrate solely with others who are making money in CPA Marketing.

It’s been a blast and I thank everyone for reading and their support. Remember that most of you have my contact details and if you dont, Kris will be more than happy to give them to you. With that said, I cant wait till Kris introduces himself and sees what he is going to bring to the table. I would expect a better community environment instead of the tyrannical dictatorship I was running. :)

Welcome aboard Kris!

and,

I hope to see and hear from the CT Members! You can contact me at any time.

Sincerely,

Ruck.

Apparently not. I remember just awhile back about International Affiliates having a tough time viewing International offers. Well, it just got easier. Wes and the rest of the Prosper202 team have a new product on board in WorldProxy202 that allows you to quickly view offers in other countries. I cannot tell you what a time saver this is to me personally. You wouldnt think a Kansas USA affiliate marketer would need such a service so much right? Well, I wouldnt if I did not promote nearly 75% of my CPA offers OUTSIDE the US. Fortunately for me, I know there’s a ton of money being made outside the US and I dont plan on coming back in anytime soon.

As if this was not enough the team also developed another handy tool for all of you toolbar lovers. They have created a Firefox WorldProxy202 Toolbar (<–That link is and installable .xpi file) which is as simple as downloading, installing and opening it up. Anytime you need to view a site from proxy just load the toolbar up and select the country you would like to view it from. You can read all about it here. For all the PPC Marketers in the forum this would be a great and easy tool to have. I’m not into toolbars really on my browser but I am gearing up to use the WorldProxy202 Service tomorrow.

I would first like to thank Linda from the 5 Star Affiliate Marketing Blog for her story on the Rash Of Insurance Affiliate Programs Closing In The UK as well as the Insurance Daily blog for their story on Virgin Money Withdraws Insurance Affiliate Schemes. What follows here was inspired by both sources:

Typically most of the readers of this blog are from the US. If you think we have it bad with credit crunches, mortgage markets plunging and a recession setting in you really need to start reading up on sources of information as stated above on how it’s becoming a world-wide problem. We are not the only ones facing hard times. Proof that some of the largest UK Insurance Affiliate Programs are withdrawing from Affiliate Promotion is only a small pebble being tossed into a vast ocean. I can see right now what they are trying to accomplish. By withdrawing their programs from networks or not offering them altogether to affiliates, they are restructuring their cost effectiveness in how they acquire business. More SEO and less payments to affiliates.

Just reading this information I can see an influx of debt consolidation, credit repair and financial services being a huge need. If you have been in the game awhile then you can already see this coming. As for promoting insurance in the UK, it looks to me as if you could find a UK Insurance Program, it’s a pretty good possibility you could do well.

Reaching out a bit I personally already know how profitable the UK Cash Loan and Payday industry is and I’ve probably have not even scratched the surface. Learning this type of information in International Markets helps give you the jump start before everyone starts to follow.

Thoughts?

With the recent release of The Poll Factory I have seen nothing but good things said about it on other marketing blogs and in the discussion forum. For the record, I did not receive any monetary compensation for leaking the launch, nor do I receive any compensation for the advertisement being displayed this month. There are hundreds if not thousands of ways to make money online but it seems the lack of execution in helping others achieve the same status WITHOUT wanting anything in return is at a low.

With that said, I would like to cover what someone else has done and chronicled in becoming a Marketer and making money online. Sometimes it probably gets old listening to me ramble, and to be honest with you, a lot of what I do business wise is not discussed publicly on this blog. This blog is geared towards people wanting to get started online or have started and would like some direction rather than information and processes on successful affiliate program/product takeovers, forming corporations and establishing web development projects. That stuff is a bit more technical and a lot of the aspects of it are not to be shared publically.

So anyway, Eric Mitz starts following the CPA Marketing Series and Category here. Very quickly the guy puts the information into action and starts thinking outside the box. Just like that he bangs out a poll that generates what he says “was probably the easiest $650 I’ve ever made online.” I believe with CPA Polling the number is around $1500-$2000 in total. (If you could clarify this Eric, that would be great). It doesn’t stop here though. Let’s get into a little deeper on the psyche of a successful Entrepreneur. When I say successful, ask Eric where he was a few months ago then ask him where he’s at now. More importantly, (if he will indulge us) ask him where he’s heading. I already know.

This will be a good read for many just starting out or those that are already started and need a little direction. Eric may not even see this way because at the point and time of where he is at right now and the fact he probably works his ass off too much to even notice, let me explain why I view him as a success.

Man reads information. Man acts on information. Man tests the information. Man has a few failures. Man starts to put his own spin on it. Man has small success and sees potential. Man digs deep and researches a hot topic on the Internet. Man realizes hot topic is not sen by many (if any) marketers. Man acts on tuition. Man achieves a higher level of success. Man realizes I was not full of shit and also realizes he CAN do this too. Man thinks how about he can scale this. Man uses his knowledge and experience as a coder to create a tool that speeds the slowest processes of scaling these ideas. Man creates tool that allows him to test failures and successes in a matter of minutes instead of hours.

But it doesn’t stop there…

Man realizes he created a tool to save him time and allow for increased reproduction of more things to test at the fastest speed possible. This gives man an advantage over EVERYONE in being able to literally test offers, markets and topics in record speed. Man realizes his tool is badass. Man also realizes that the Internet is never ending and uses his Entrepreneur spirit to make the tool available to others. Man realizes he once read information that caused him to take action. Man now realizes that taking action instead of getting all hot and bothered by good information leads to many things such as:

Eric took an idea and tested it

Eric tested thru failures and didnt stop until he found success

Eric used his state of thinking and experience with coding to create something to save time

Eric realizes his tool can benefit others

Eric as a smart marketer but more importantly a good-willed human being, creates a price ridiculously low. Low enough that just one successful poll from his tool can pay back the cost in literally an hour.

Eric takes in more information and gets his brain bumbling again

Eric realizes that having a great product that actually does MORE than it says, priced at an insanely low price, and the thought of knowing that he can leverage affiliates to sell for him is the ultimate marketing tool to allow you to spend the least amount of time possible on his product and to focus more on reproduction and more efforts elsewhere.

Eric is a fairly new Entrepreneur. You can follow Eric at the $1000 Affiliate Experiement (Ha, Eric change the title, you’ve crushed that). Anyone new to making money online needs to read this. The guy was in the same seat as you once and now he’s passed success.

Notes:

Poll Factory launched independently on CashTactics last Friday

25 copies have been sold as of April 30th

For more details you can visit here. You get 50% of each sale (which obviously if one post sold $1400 worth in a week, should be a real easy product to sell). The affiliate program is thru Paydotcom which you can sign up for here.

Congratulations Eric! I personally appreciate the product as well as everyone else who is raving about it.

A word first to readers, forum members and future publishers that Convert2Media CPA Network has officially launched. The Press Release is soon to come where you will be able to read the entire Official Release Package. For now, the network is live and the C2M team is thrilled. It has been quite a trip for us over the last couple of months. The thing about Convert2Media is that it’s ran by a succesful group of like-minded marketers who are experienced in Retail Affiliate Marketing, Lead Generation, Email And Pay Per Click. On top of that we bring a team of dedicated Managers who’s main focus is to build long-term, prosperous relationships between advertisers and affiliates.

A few things that Convert2Media is striving for is Advertiser and Affiliate transparency as well as dedicated managers devoted to tracking and payouts. As marketers we realize one of the most common problems is the lack of communication and straight answers coming from Affiliate Managers about offers, terms and payouts. With our dedicated team, we hope to set a new standard on advertising transparency on both sides of the “fence”.

There will be more to come in the following days, but if you are interested in becoming a publisher for Convert2Media you may feel free to signup and a manager will be in contact with you.

This is important. This is vital. Not taking this seriously is the exact same reason why people may gripe about the time it takes getting accepted to programs or not getting accepted at all. Time is money in this business. Treat network applications as if you were applying for another job. Does half-assing your resume increase your chances of banging out that new office with a view? No it dont. The same applies online. Take your business seriously so others will as well.

Personally being a Co-Network owner and not even launching live to public publishers I have deleted over 400 fraudulent applications in the last 24 hours. That’s just one day on a network that is nothing yet. I wonder how people like Market Leverage and Hydra feel? I can only imagine.

The theory that networks only glance at your applications is partly correct. How would you feel looking over 410 applications only to find out that 400 of them were not legitimate? That cuts your production time down and does not allow you to focus more time, energy and dedication to the people who are legitimate.

Here are some tips on getting accepted to Affiliate Networks:

Dont have a website, build one. It’s an instant red flag. Another red flag is if you dont have a website then using something like Google or Yahoo will get you denied pretty quick. Fact of the matter is that silly things like that are seen hundreds of times daily. Your best bet is to ALWAYS utilize the comment box located in applications. You better be telling why you dont have a site and what your intentions are.

Get on the phone – Immediately after filing an application go try to locate a contact number. You take the innitiative not the network. While it’s always nice for the networks to do that, I think I covered an important point of all the bullshit networks deal with.

Dont use the same website 5 times – Automatic deletion in my book. This looks like you used form filling software. I use form filling software but I examine every application I ever submitted so to not allow a silly mistake that looks unprofessional like this. If you dont have 5 websites then dont put anything there.

State your strengths and intentions – Comment boxes are on applications for a reason. Skipping them shows laziness. Filling them out shows professionalism. How serious would you like your online businesses and account to be taken?

Use a reliable email client – If I see asia.com or usa.com or mail.com, I automatically delete it. Use your head because aside from all the bullshit spam some networks send you, the really good ones with good Affiliate Managers are going to send you tips that you dont want to miss.

Short and sweet folks. Nothing complicated here, just a general outline for successful Affiliate Network applications.

The age old question of being new to Affiliate Marketing, what should I set my goal at? The answer is usually around the $50-$100 a day range. That is conservative and generally speaking though. Affiliate Marketing is no different than anything else you may encounter in life. If you still working a job then just consider it a new one. There are going to be things that you have to learn and experience before you become a top dog around the work place. The same applies to sitting in your cozy little office with the coffee pot brewing, it is going to take some adapting and adjusting before you get comfortable.

Aside from the fact that there are a lot of things you will have to go thru and learn from, you also have to deal with learning pace. Everyone is different. Some people will go out and earn $500 in their first month. I’ve personally helped and seen it done. Others may take at least 6 months before making their first dollar. Uhh umm, Hello? That would be me. Some may even take more than a year.

In my opinion you need to start with something you know. I love gaming. More importantly I love gaming on the Xbox 360. Some of the first offers I ever ran were for Xbox 360′s and Xbox 360 games. On top of running CPA offers, I also sold xbox 360′s and equipment thru Amazon. Hell, I did not sell a lot but at least I was selling something. I knew enough about the niche that I could write about it without it being a strain. As a matter of fact, I knew the niche so well and being a member of the Halo Forums, General Gaming Forums and MLG PRO, I could relate and interpret the lingo used among gamers. Knowing this I could adjust my writing style to something that was actually INTERESTING to read for gamers. Knowing what you’re doing is a crucial component in Affiliate Marketing. Without knowing the ins and outs of your market, do you think shooting from the hip is going to be enough in that market to make a comfortable living? Maybe after a year or so when you have printed so much shit that you have so many rankings or ads running that people cant help but to come to your site. Now you have to deal with will they return or not?

Dont shoot from the hip folks. It’s just not worth it. It takes a long time to start seeing results and by then 99% of future entrepreneurs have already given up or are suffering a burnout that discourages productivity. Start out small and slow if necessary but for pete’s sake, start with something you know.

Motivation and work ethic goes a long way. I apologize if this offends anyone but I got to tell you that unless you ABSOLUTELY hated it, then a previous job flipping burgers is not going to prepare you mentally for Internet Marketing. I’m sorry but as someone who got paid to pretty much lift weights and build houses during his “off” days, their just a whole other connection between fast food and pinching sciatic nerves or dealing with tendinitis every other month. Do you see what I am getting at here? If you’re failing in your marketing efforts and your previous job was wearing a headset and flipping a 4 ounce pound of meat shit then it’s pretty damn easy to say, at least I had an easy job to go back to. Put yourself in the mindset of bad that former job really was. Knowing and realizing what you may have to go back to is a great motivator to push yourself every day.

If you cannot motivate yourself to make $100 a day, then dont bother trying to go out and make $1000 or more a day.

Well the wait is over. Today I get the opportunity to introduce Eric’s (from The $1000 Affiliate Experiment) groovy new tool Poll Factory. Poll Factory is the newly created system that allows you to construct CPA voting polls at lightening speed. As a matter of fact it takes an average of 5-6 minutes per poll! If anyone has followed the CPA Marketing Series then they already know that polls covering celebrities, movies and sports can be some quick profit earners.

So a little math here shows that working hard for two hours a day would yield at least 15 polls a day. Seriously, with all the information that has been covered and the release of this tool, if you cannot make money with this simple tactic, you’re in real bad shape. Eric is an active PPC Marketer so he didnt spend his time and resources creating a tool that he himself would never use. He built it for himself! As a matter of fact you can check out his case study of the easiest $650 he’s ever made online. If that wasn’t enough, he gives you his topic for the poll! You can see the poll that generated the income here.

Here’s where I tell you the price and all that jazz. Luckily it’s not an ebook..Hooray! (Like you would see one here anyway). This is a real tool created by a PPC to CPA Marketer that I am using myself. As a matter of fact, I really dont know if I would still be doing polls if it wasn’t for the ease of use Poll Factory provides. On average my polls will make $30-$50 profit a day with my good ones in the $100 a day range. So with that mindset how much you think Poll Factory is worth? You will have to cruise on over and check it out for yourself at how ridiculously Eric has priced it during his launch. As for support, Eric has setup a forum specifically for Poll Factory.

Eric is also a member of the CashTactics Discussion Forum as well. Thanks Eric for the opportunity to own a copy!

I really dont link out to many bloggers anymore. The amount of disinformation on the net is rising at a sickening level but I wanted to take the time to let everyone here know about a cool little gig going on right now. First off, I have never met Chad from CDF Networks. I visit his blog EVERYDAY and even though I am subscribed, I much rather spend some time on the blogs and people I trust reading their material. I make it a point to visit him whenever he writes a new post because the fact of the matter is, is that he has given out and still continues to give out information that is VERY valuable in regards to my own PPC Business and PPC in general. A couple of quick examples of pure gold include Day Parting Pay Per Click For Higher Profits and Parked Domain Traffic From Google.

With that said Chad is doing something pretty incredible for his readers. He’s running a Mentor For A Week Contest right now. He’s agreed to help the winner for a week for free to get started in PPC and Affiliate Marketing. This is the single most valuable thing you can get from someone like Chad. The contest is simple too:

1. Contest is open to subscribers only, so if you haven’t already – subscribe to the CDF Network feed.

2. Reply to this post with a comment of 2-3 sentences about why you would like some help getting started in PPC-affiliate marketing. Please don’t write a book, just 2-3 sentences.

Highly recommended to spend a few minutes snagging his feed and giving yourself the opportunity to winning the contest and learning from a Marketer like Chad. You can check out the whole post here.

There’s a large misconception online that only very few people are making money online. This cannot be further from the truth. There are a TON of people making money online but you may only know about a handful of them. Two of the largest net profit producing affiliate marketers that I know are virtually undetectable online. They just assume to keep it that way so we wont go into details but the first with CJ and the other with Linkshare are doing incredible numbers as affiliates. It amazes me that so many people procrastinate and verbally cut down others who are making money online. I really dont know why this is. Jealousy perhaps? Maybe the ebook selling and ripping off? Who knows and who cares. The ones that procrastinate are the ones likely to reach the pot of gold later than most.

With that said there is an important piece of the marketing online puzzle that I feel is very important to marketers. It’s called risk taking. Now if you have ever got scammed in the past then your mind presets itself to calculate risks. In my opinion this is a good and bad thing. While it’s a good thing to calculate risks, it’s a bad thing to over analyze them to a point that you talk yourself out of taking one.

One of the hardest questions I get is “how do I make money without any money to invest”? This question is so hard to answer because while you CAN make money without investing any it takes a tremendous amount of willpower and work ethic. It takes so much, that I normally ignore this question altogether because I will tell you right now that I normally will not waste my time replying to a stranger of whom I know nothing about. If I had an idea of what you have accomplished so far and what your plans are going forward then I might be inclined to reply.

The truth is, in my opinion that you really should not start out online UNLESS you have money saved up to begin with. That’s not to say I wont work with you or do my best to answer any questions but if you have willpower to save some money before you even get started then I see motivation. With having money saved up, you should also be planning on the idea that you are more than likely going to lose it. Yes, you are going to spend that money in some way or another so planning and saving is essential.

You can read all the blogs and forums and talk to everyone you know over Instant Messaging and none of that is going to REALLY help you. Sure you will pick up some advice and suggestions to run with but I am telling you right now that the best education for marketing is EXPERIENCE.

Do not fear taking risks. You probably should fear any information that costs you money but do not fear to invest some Paid Advertising, Directory Submissions, Link building packages and anything else that is going to increase your web presence and monetization methods. If your afraid to take risks then quite simply this is not for you. Everyone takes risks everyday online and off. The only difference is that online everything seems more expensive and that if you are just starting out you will probably be recouping online expenses by working offline. It’s the way of the land people, so dont get to worked up about it. Save your money, design your plan, implement and learn.

If there is one thing that is important about a competitive niche it’s that it HAS GOT TO BE profitable. Now you’re probably saying well if it’s competitive then it’s profitable right? Not necessarily. A lot can go on in a niche, especially with large companies coming to play for branding purposes. Sure in the end it’s probably profitable for them but if you’re at the top of the chain promoting with/against them then you could stand to lose a substantial amount of capital. The reason is because a lot of these companies have millions to spend to brand themselves and we as affiliate marketers do not or will not engage in spending that much of our capital.

It comes down to two things ultimately here folks. There is no need to over-analyze things because you can sit around and think about this for years and you’re still going to come out with the exact same equations.

Lots of competition most likely means profitable markets

Low competition means it’s 50/50 with no guarantee

Simple as that.

The more competition you’re facing, the harder you have to work. I really hate hearing about PPC Marketers who tell people they spend 1-2 hours monitoring their campaigns and the rest of the day stroking their meat. Honestly, I’ve met markets where I could do this and while it is nice, that’s a surefire way of getting a big case of the lazy ass. It’s not real hard with someone who is NOT dominating the market to come along and knock you off your high horse. The reason it’s so easy for them is because you have more motivation when your NOT making money than you do when you ARE making money. I know this first hand and that’s why it’s important to always be moving forward. Stationary and reverse are two speeds in which you basically just give your place up for grabs. It’s not their fault for whooping your ass, it’s yours.

Your plan to put into action has got to be more diverse than theirs. Survey your market, then survey your competition. Pay close attention to what the market wants, pay even closer attention to what your competition is giving, then go 10X above them in terms of what you have to offer. With MOST big name companies, it’s actually easier than you think OTHER THAN beating their brand name.

No matter how much effort and work you put forth, a brand is hard to beat. That’s not to say that you cannot carve yourself out a real lucrative spot in that industry though. The fact is people, in my opinion, it’s getting easier everyday as the Internet gets larger. The most important fact though is that you have to work harder than ever to attain it.

It takes, time, money and resources but just one niche alone can make your life better than you can possibly imagine. Nobody SMART says it’s going to be easy. The ones that do, got no fucking clue what they are talking about. Work hard, get paid, that’s the goal. Worker harder, make more, is the dream. Which do you want?

Low competition can be a godsend or a demon. This is where most marketers are taught to attack and apply everything they learned. While I dont suggest shying away from low competition markets, you should understand one very crucial concept here. While working low competitive niches you’re still going to put forth a lot of time, money and effort. The only difference here is that WITHOUT proper market research you are entering a crap-shoot where nothing is certain. The worst thing to happen to an affiliate marketer is spending all this dedication only to find out that there is no payoff. Maybe, you get lucky and dominate the next big thing but let’s face it, this rarely happens. It does happen though. It’s a game of chance, one that in my opinion takes a load of skills, intuition and MOTIVATION.

With low competition though you have many options at your disposal. You dont have to work quite as hard to establishing profitability, hopefully. You may not be pulling in the thousand dollar days but testing these low competitive markets gives you an advantage to testing markets that can yield hundreds a day. I dont have to tell you how fast finding just a few of those can quickly increase your bank account, moral and hopefully your desire to work even harder.

Today is one of the days where I absolutely felt like crap after waking up. Granted I did stay up until 4 am working on a new site for Jeff and I. As usual I went thru my work-out routine and went for my morning jog which usually refreshes me. After taking a shower and sitting down at the command center, I started making my rounds but could not for the life of me engage in any comments or hardly any forum postings let alone want to start on the days productivity spread sheet. Sheesh!

I guess the morning work-out and jog is going to have to be revised into something harder. I started optimizing the home office a bit more (specifically the desktop) and here’s what I came up with. Currently I am still unsatisfied with the setup but at least I can run all communications off a separate machine now, which is vital considering the amount of gabbing I have been doing with affiliates, managers, network owners, entrepreneurs and marketers over the last couple of months.

A mess at first:

We will resume the Series soon with other great places to advertise and even get into the web placement and email marketing side of things with CPA offers. For now I would like to talk about a question that was asked in the forum just awhile ago.

Whoopie: I have a shedload of ideas and things to try. Maybe it’s the AS and ADHD, but I’m having a *really* hard time pushing things through. I have … far too many ideas on the go at once, and I’m not covering all the bases I need to and therefore not seeing the results that I should. It’s not that things aren’t working, it’s that I can’t focus to push them to work even better – if that makes any sense.Anyone else have this? How have you dealt with it?

I and every other Entrepreneur/Marketer have and will experience this. This is just the nature of working online. I remember when I first started out it seemed like the only way to make money online was to write and ebook or promote one. Being online for 3+ years now, things could not be any farther from that. As a matter of fact, I’ve made my living by not even following that business model. It’s a good way (obviously for some) but not the “be all, end all”.

Even today with all my organization one could come into my home office and conclude a hypothesis just from looking around or observing how I work one day that I am on a collision course for a business breakdown. That’s not saying I am disorganized but to someone who would have the opportunity to view me work, I would imagine that would be their assumption.

It does not matter how detailed my schedule gets. I have things that pop in out of the blue everyday. I get sidetracked. Shit happens and it’s a fact of business, especially when you are the business. I dont discourage organization and schedules, as a matter of fact, I highly encourage but it’s only going to be as good as you treat it. If you have 10 money making ideas flowing thru your head here’s what I would do.

First off I look at all 10 ideas and write them down on a piece of paper. I put in projections and goals, and I do my best to determine a time-frame to hit these.

Now I have an idea of what my goals are for each idea and how long it SHOULD take me to achieve them, I can now decide which idea I want to take on. For organization purposes, I only take one idea. Which idea is entirely up to you and how you want your business to run. If your in need or just want quick money, then obviously you want to take on the idea that has a goal that is going to be reached in the shortest amount of time possible. If your looking for more stability and long term business benefits because your already making money (or for whatever reason) then obviously you would shoot for the idea that has a goal with a longer extended time frame to reach.

It’s really tough to try and do 10 things at once especially when we see the dollar signs in our head. Typically for people who are new to having an online business it seems better to generate 10 sources of income from varying directions. I really dont believe this, not at that point anyway. Focus on that one thing and get it down before you try moving on.

Once you get something working for you though, the trip does not stop there unless you want it to. I can relate to my jobs I used to work. I was competitive and always worked hard to be the best at what I did. Much like a money making idea, these thoughts should carry over. The harder you work, the more effort you put towards it, the better chance you may get a raise (online this means scaling more income). Dont ever stop working on something that is making you money. Always try to improve it until you come to a point where either:

Your comfortable with the income it’s bringing

The niche dies in terms of demand

When working online we tend to take things way too far into perspective. This is not necessarily a bad thing because if you really take your businesses seriously then this is a crucial part of the fundamentals to building a long-term and stable model. Overlooking, over-thinking and even over analyzing though can be real time wasters. Personally for me, it comes down to the two things stated above. Either I get comfortable with the income and move on to something else to add, or I completely kill the model. If I dont come to either of those two points then I dont stop working.

Information overload is a huge factor in wasted time. Now that so many Entrepreneurs and Marketers are blogging you have to face an information crisis each day that you go to check your feed reader. What do I do this in situation? Personally, I’ve cut the amount of feeds I read daily. I used to consume anywhere from 75-100 by scanning headlines but nowadays I am reading anywhere from 20-25. As I evolved into a Paid Search Advertiser a lot of the blogs I was reading became absolute shit in my eyes. Even so, a lot of the Pay Per Click Information that I was reading was shit as well. Cut the fat from your daily reading habit. If you chose that one model to follow, then cut all the other stuff out and only focus on the information sources that help you in relation to the model your chasing.

What are your thoughts? How do you approach so many ideas online these days? What do you do that keeps you on track?
