What’s My Single Most Important Tip About Working Online?

That’s easy.  4 words.

Love what you do.

The following is sparked by the dozens of emails, IM’s and Pm’s I receive weekly. What is the single most important thing I would tell someone that wanted to get started making money online?

You have probably heard this a time or to. Matter of fact, you may be tired of hearing it. If that’s the case then I really fell sorry for you. I cannot imagine someone trying to make money online and NOT liking it. I am not speaking just about success here either. I am speaking in terms in failure. What?

If you cannot sit back and get a chuckle from your screw ups then your probably the uptight serious kind. (remind me to not hang out with you at events). Seriously though, it is in my experience and damn near every success story that I ever read that someone has faced failures before they met success. Why is that?

It’s because working online is probably new to 99% of the people trying it. When you got hired at your job were you an instant badass on your first day? No, most likely not. You probably struggled a bit on focusing on everything that was being taught to you by a manager or trainer. You were probably excited at first about your new job but once you learned it, you became bored. Even after working years at your job, you probably had those *bad days* where nothing went as planned or you could not complete a task before re-doing it two or three times.

Do you see a pattern emerging here folks?

This same pattern is going to apply online as well. Your going to have bumps and bruises, your going to lose focus, and your going to have failures that cause you to re-do something or quit it altogether and move on to something new.

Want A Job With Hostgator?

HostgatorNickycakes already posted the lowdown on this topic but I was able to speak with Justin who blogs and works for Hostgator this morning during a Skype call. Justin and I talked about Affiliate Marketing and all that good jive for awhile but we were also to talk a little bit about hosting as well. Justin will be joining the forum as well. So instead of hunting down Hostgator support or any of that nonsense Justin will be able to answer a lot of questions directly in the forum.

Not your typical money making post here but this is a money making opportunity nonetheless. I also have been with Hostgator for over two years now owning 2 Dedicated Servers and multiple shared hosting packages and I have always recommended them as well. In my opinion and experience I have never had to go anywhere else for hosting nor do I want to.

I would like to point out that Hostgator is running a referral system and paying out $2,500 to whoever refers them an employee who stays with the company for at least 90 days. With that said I would also like to point out that this post is only biased on the fact that I respect them and have found their services over the last couple of years nothing short of outstanding.

{Edit} Affiliate link for the word hosting.

Here are the details of the job referral system:

1. They must be able to legally work in our Houston Headquarters.
2. They must be employed for 90 days in order to be paid.
3. You must fill out the below referral form before their first interview.
4. You cannot refer yourself.

I Am Going Back To College

College

 {This post contains no information on how to make money online}

Yes, the title says it all. I am heading back to college at age 27. Not to a campus though! I’ve been pondering this decision for a long time. So long that I cannot remember. It probably started back when I was working 3 jobs, 7 days a week. Working exclusively online for well over a year now (3+ years total) and being an equal owner in two Limited Liability Companies, en equal owner in a Limited Liability Partnership AND running my own Sole Proprietorship I have come to the realization that I desperately need to educate myself further in terms of Business Administration, Accounting and Tax Law. Furthermore, I believe that it will also help educate me to effectively communicate with my Certified Public Account and maybe give me an added edge as I look past mutual funds, stocks and insurance as my current investment vehicles.

If it’s one thing that I know, it’s that nothing is certain online. I am making more money and my businesses are thriving better than ever but what if something were to happen in the future? I mean seriously look at it. Would I want to return to my old job of loading and unloading trucks for 12 hours a day? Would I want to be in the hundred degree heat roofing houses in the summer? I can tell you that is something I will never go back to and being financially independent is allowing me to grasp this chance. Do I sit back and NOT take this opportunity and just continue to build more entities and enlarge my online presence OR do I stop and look around and realize that what I have accomplished is GIVING me the chance to seize something that finances have never allowed me to have?

RSS Email Subscription Now Working

I really dont know what was wrong with the old email form but I have the RSS Email subscriptions working now. If you have tried in the past and it did not work, feel free to give it a go today. If you have any problems, shoot me an email via the contact form. I think the reason for the subscriber count staying normal is because of this. Ahh well, I’m still holding the contest except I am paying out for the RSS subscribers no matter what. With all the changes, a bad subscription form, and just not knowing exactly what has been going on with my Feedburner, I thought I would reward those prizes anyway.

 But tell them now! The subscribe by email feature is working.

Information Production At Warp Speed

 {Edit - This post is merely meant as educational. This post does not encourage copyright theft.}

Widely known but heavily underutilized and nobody has brought it up on the blog or forum so I will go ahead and cover this easy method of producing information products. I would like to say right now that I do not produce nor intend on producing information products. I tried it once and totally got burned by a buyer. However I feel outside the Internet Marketing realm there are a ton of actually good ebooks out there. There is also a lot of money to be made. If I decided to sit back and withhold something I know is valuable just because I do not use it for my own financial gain then that kind of makes me a hypocrite. Besides, if I am not doing it and you like to produce ebooks than I rather see someone make money with it instead of it just floating about and you not knowing about it.

Without further rambling, I want to first remind you of a great niche research tool that is completely free and only requires that you have eyesight and a little bit of your *out of box thinking* cap turned on. In addition to this niche tool I will also refer back to the niche we focused on, which was *Diabetic Recipes*. (It’s imperative you read that last linked article) for you to completely understand where I am going with this.

I showed you killer ways to find a niche that has active discussions but I also provided you the means to get all the information necessary to solve this niche’s problems. In this case diabetics were looking for foods and recipes to eat healthier. While I pointed out that you could basically take diabetic recipe ideas from files and samples easily, here’s another great way to just grab more ideas from information that has already been published.

I do not know who owns BookMark Money but they have referenced me twice and today I tried to repay the favor. Dont think I am shutting you out, I try to comment everyone I can. However, your blog is not allowing me to comment and there is no contact form. So dont think I am not trying to message you back…it’s just that I cant. :)
