Nice that you mention the importance of “buyer keywords”. It’s pretty much logical thinking, but still, many new IM’er just look at the numbers in their keyword tools.

Keyword research is the most critical thing on PPC and you’ve done a good job mentoring on this topic. I use keyword spy everytime before I enter to a new market and analyze competitors status and it’s a great tool.

I totally agree with your comments about the fact that you need to think closely about the types of searches a potential visitor would do to find your site content. In a sense you have to think like a visitor, which is not always straight forward. I have always said that website owners are more likely to be successful if they have a background in psychology rather than specific technical knowledge, because it’s all about creativity and thinking outside the box.

I second the google adwords tool. It’s always the first tool I go to. Second would be ‘good keywords’ windows app.

Don’t forget thesaurus.com either.
