Too true, would simplify things so much more whilst weeding out multiple posts on the same thread or duplicate questions.

I do not use forum search option. Really this picture is one good tutorial on search forum thread.

There is nothing more frustrating than trying to locate information you stumbled across on a forum….once upon a time….and for the life of you when the information is needed, it just can not be found, no matter how hard you try to retrace your footsteps. A proper search function should be mandatory on any half-decent forum!

So why should it be a pop-up window? Personally on the VBulletin boards I think it is fine as is… but that’s my preference…

Where was this when I really needed it. My forum had notice after notice to those noobs who published questions that were already answered. An app like that would be pretty kick ass.

yeeeah .. I used to run a couple of Forums, too. I also found it annoying to see that everyone was posting the same questions over and over again.

LOL funny graphic. It really can get so annoying when people don’t use the simple search box to find their answer before posting another question that has already been answered a hundred or so times.

Wow, that is a great animation :) Is this animation copyrighted or is it possible to use it? I don’t plan to make popup but it would be really nice to place it to the forum rules thread.

I guess it’s just a matter of personal preference, but pop-up option should at least be available for those who find it easier to navigate the forum that way.

Why so people will stop asking dumb questions?
