I've used adbrite countless times, and I've never had success with them. I think it's mostly due to the fact that they have junk traffic that won't really convert.

AdBrite has just gone CPC on banners and that makes it quite lucrative! But I'd advise to keep away from engines and networks other than the Big 3 atleast when you're just starting out and have limited funds to get started.

Man you don't even know how long I've waited for this since disabling my own Movable Type widget (that doesn't work since Haloscan bypasses that code).

In South Africa unfortunately there are relatively few PPC programs other than Google. I will go and try them out to see if they offer results relative to our clientelle.

I remember Ezanga now. I had to cruise over there and soon as I saw that frog I remembered the company. Jotted them down to give them a whirl but I had never heard of GenieKnows. Thanks for the tip!

Just to ad a little something to this discussion. Some other PPC engines that are worth testing are http://ezanga.com and http://genieknows.com. I've haven't got around to try these myself yet but I got these recommendations from experienced people that do.

You can treat PPC ads as media buys if you know the site, most networks let you target a specific site. Like Ruck suggests, use the site directory and target specific sites.

Now That isn't how I've had success with adbrite. Again, my success with adbrite stems from the fact that I'm not trying to do loan offers, or things of that nature. Try dating offers. I bet those would go well on adbrite.

Try using their site directory and advertising on specific sites. I used just category targetting for awhile and not once had anything even worth looking at to pursue on a workable basis. There are gems there though. Always make sure to look at the nature of traffic for each site to. I usually just do an Alexa, Compete, and Quantcast cross reference on them. I think a lot of people get that part wrong.

I'm amazed youve seen positive results with adbrite. I have not yet. I did a few small tests which didn't prove to be successful. Maybe I need to go back at some point and try a different approach.

And I would be most interested in any information or documentation on how AdEngage did for you Corey. Honestly, I've met the company when I was in Miami and I got to say that even mentioning their name does more harm than good. A little search on the Big G will reveal some crazy practices by this company. I have found that their traffic is a couple of tiers under UNTARGETED Social Network traffic which basically allowed me to spend money with no return. Who knows though, maybe some web cam shows bring out the conversions in the perverts who read the bullshit sites within their network of site.

Generally not the most targetted? There's a reason why those clicks are so cheap. Findology for Financial and GoClick well honestly it wasn't even worth the deposit but then again I was doing Lead-Gen whereas I have heard most of the myths of success stemming from Arbitrage. Who Knows whats true on that one.
