Social networks are poor performers in terms of ad CTR so thats a given and you shouldnt plan to include them unless you’re making a decent commission.

You are so right on MySpace. Its amazing to see how many clicks come out of that site but the worth of them is close to nothing. I’m starting up some new campaigns and may check back in later with some other bad sites.

Right on Allen. Gmail just sucks impressions. Although you have me curious as you say it performs poorly 80% of the time. Care to elaborate that Gmail does perform well for you in a vertical? I can it as soon as I fire up a campaign. I’ve never once had results that would even have me consider advertising in there.

Myspace people are ususally not looking for things to buy but just to play around and waste time looking through profiles etc… so bidding on them would be a complete waste of money…

You could be spending money on more targeted related sites…

Agree 100% on MySpace traffic, that’s always one of my 1st exclusions. Another site that performs poorly 80% of the time for me is GMail.
