I get asked that in real estate investing. Obviously the questioner was looking for a specific tactic or strategy but you did w3ell by pointing the questioner in a better direction.

Yeah well .. goal setting and following through are two kinds of things, but i still agree. Breaking stuff down into logical and easy to achieve steps can help a lot motivation wise

Great post. I did this a while ago, my goal was to sign up on 30 forums related to my niche and make at least 25 posts. I created a spreadsheet and saved my logins, passwords and how many posts I’ve made. I did this over months to build my credibility and only posted when I had something to say. No BS posts. Then I started inserting my affiliate link in places I saw fit and to no surprise they were not deleted and saw good traffic. Still to this day, I get thousands of clicks from these forum posts and it is still making me great money every month.

Goals are vital to any Affiliate Marketers success and without them you are wasting your time. Start small and work you’re way up to big goals and big money, its really not that hard you just have to stay focused and be persistent.

I agree with this so much, and it’s something I’ve been harping on a lot lately. Setting goals and breaking them down to the next logical step allows you to be much more efficient.

I totally agree Kris. When I first started out, I had no idea how much potential was in affiliate marketing so I was jumping for joy when I got my first check ever in the mail for like 50 bucks or something. $50 bucks for a month meant less than $2 per day, but I was geniunely happy back then. It’s that pure feeling of satisfaction that needs to drive us, and we need to be happy about what we do. Now, I’m definitley making more than that, but whenever I feel down, I always try to think of that moment and how far I have come.
