The Landing Page Example!

Landing page exampleOkay, it’s taken me a bit to get this too you. I do apologize. I still have family in town and we have kept pretty busy doing the site seeing thing.

Anyways, as I promised… Here is an example of a clean looking landing page for a dating site. The offer that I designed this after can be found Convert2Media. The offer is the “Over 30 Dating”.

Here is the page that I created to show you: Landing Page Example
Remember, that is JUST an example that I made this evening. I didn’t add the title or the meta tags to that, but you would want to for real offers you want to run. This will help with your QS and it will help in getting you ranked in the search engines.

You can jump over to the Free Reports section to download that template. Just click on “Landing Page Template” under Misc. Files.

I hope that example give you a better idea of what your plain landing pages for CPA offers should look like. Remember they should be clean looking and direct. If you notice on the page I have 3 images. Each can be clicked to direct people to the offer. I didn’t get the animated gif. But you should use an animated button to draw attention.

Your written sections can be gathered from some PLR content or from an article that you find. Try and change it up so that you don’t sound like everyone else.

I normally suggest adding your own bullet points. But in this case the image I used had the bullet points for me.

Now… Where can you get the images to use? When you’re browsing your CPA offers to choose from, you can almost always find an HTML ad version of the offer. Click the “View HTML” link under the text box. Right click the images to save them to your desk top and edit them as needed. These images are for you to use in advertising so feel free to take when you need. Just remember to keep your images straight… In other words… Don’t throw up a image on your landing page.

If you have questions on your landing page or would like your page reviewed just post it in the CashTactics discussion forum so that others can participate as well!

thanks for creating this landing page for us to learn from. I am only new to affiliate marketing so it is great to see how people do it!

July 14, 2008

Wow, thanks for the tips!

July 14, 2008

Kris — thanks for sharing, bud!

July 14, 2008

Hey Kris, do all these landing pages need to have the typical stuff that google likes to see: about page, privacy, etc. etc. ??? Or are those more buttons to get people away from clicking on the offer?

July 14, 2008

I do like to add those buttons to the bottom so that Goggle sees the site as an actual content site and not a landing page. You can always mask those sites to match the background color so people can’t see them.

July 14, 2008

Thanks for the great tips… landing pages are crucial to the success of affiliate marketers!

July 14, 2008

Kris – Great post once again!

I’m a little bit confused. Your landing page is much different than the actual site.

Also, what else can you do to your landing page to stop from getting bitch slapped by google? It seems like every lp, I create starts off pretty good then a few months later, holy tamale, those .10 & .25 ads turn to $1 & $5.

July 15, 2008

Your right. But… Open both in different tabs in your browser and click between the two. It’s obvious that you are on different websites but the two of them flow together. Thats really what is important. The color scheme is close enough that I wouldn’t really worry about it.

Great post Kris!

Obviously, landing pages are crucial to the success of online marketers.
Thanks for sharing.

Templates of TemplateWorld is moore sugar for the eyes ;)

July 17, 2008

Great share. Can’t we make lots of such lps for different offers and seo/promote them to get natural traffic from search engines?

July 18, 2008

Thanks for that. I especially appreciate the links you posted in your post.

July 19, 2008

Man, if that LP is making some cash ( and I have no reason to doubt it doesn’t), then I need to throw my hat further out in the pay-for-performance realm.

A tip for some of the people complaining about their bids getting jacked up after a short period of time – does your site rank for anything? Not saying you need to be in the top 10 or anything, heck even top 30 but how g sees your site that the lp is on seems to weigh heavily on success.

July 20, 2008

That’s a really good example there. Not too much work to make a page like that. I personally would probably throw on more text to try to avoid getting Google “slapped” though. Anyhow, kudos for having balls and showing your landing page like a real man haha. I had enough of those whiny people who refuse to share any of their landing pages.

Thanks for that. Great tips.

I do not believe this

are you guys using the google web optimizer at all? I played with it once, but not long enough to make sense out of the data. mostly i’d rotate with a script, and watch the conversions with Prosper202.

Hey man,

my mum’s been following your work closely and loves what you do. She was too shy to write you her question and asked me to do it :P

how do you think a page like this holds up with the new affiliate policy change in google adwords? they say that “bridge” pages are not allowed–isn’t that what this is?

January 31, 2009

The policy on “bridge” pages is nothing new. I think that as long as you build out some links to a TOS, privacy policy, about, and contact page, then you should be okay. Makes sure you add content and you will be good to go. Not only will it cut down on your Quality Score (QS), but it will help you look more legit in the eyes of the consumer.

Wow – I’ve been in similar situations before! Isn’t it strikingly reflexive to take a step back and think about how we’ve come to unquestionably demand perfection from our technologies? How panicked we get when they don’t “obey” their creators? It’s ironic to think that we take things for granted when they’re working at their best.

Hey there, your column really compliments our GreenLinks tutorials. Let’s face it, there is a lot to be learned about CPA marketing and your content is an easy to understand resource for those looking to get started in the biz.

July 2, 2009

Not bad, though you could have used more examples to highlight between good & bad landing pages. While searching the net, I found that no website gives complete information about landing pages & its styles.

July 2, 2009

@ Hope.smarty21 You must not have seen our whole series on Landing Pages. Check out the LP tutorials here:

August 17, 2009

If you need to get some content for your site, just head over to a article directory and pick some for your niche. Then just link to them from your landing page. That way Google will see some content on your site.

October 1, 2009

Thanks for the landing page example. The landing page that you have created is simple yet convincing. Though I do not have my own product to market but the ideas that you have given will definitely help me in promoting my agffiliate products.

November 3, 2009

Thanks for showing us a example of a landing page, really helped a lot.

It shows that landing pages don’t have to have fantastic graphics and a fantastic design. If you have a simple one like this one you can also make it convert and make money.

November 4, 2009

Hi cashtactics
should my landing page color be the same as my offer page color.
and can i use blogger to creat a londing page for my offer.
Thank you .

January 3, 2011

@Raj – Creating a landing page that closely mimics the actual offer will definitely help your conversions. It keeps the user connected to what is going on. So the answer is… Yes.
