Hoping you can help on this question.. I’ve thought about this one thing during the whole iframe series.

When I set this up in Google Search ( not content ), Yahoo , Or MSN.. I am afraid this method might produce a low quality score out of the gate.

How are you getting your iframe pages past the QS in Google? Msn is really hard on this too and Yahoo just changed up how they approve ads as well a few weeks ago.

Is this basically a “blank page” setup with the iframe, or are you putting content into the page at the bottom and inserting the iframe at the top?

Just wondering how to combat QS on this. I’ve tried a method similar to this a few times and within a few hours or a day I am hit with QS problems where I have to raise bids.

Thanks man, hoping you can shed light on this.

Also to add.. maybe I am missing the “big picture”, just not sure how to use this method the best and still get around QS.

Jason,

I believe it was the second post in this series where Kris talks about adding meta tags to your html code to help with quality score. Also, if you are really worried about it you could throw something “below the fold” to help appease the search engine spiders. QS can be important, but try not to get too hung up on it as it can paralyze you into doing anything at all. Yes you don’t want to experience the stories of having $10.00 clicks, but sometimes you are only looking at the difference of $.10 and $.11 clicks. Don’t think I am downplaying QS.. Just don’t let it keep you from taking action

Wow, this is getting good. I’m gong to have to try some of this once my ‘project’ is finished.

Great post, thanks for the script. Looks promising, I’ll get to testing it soon!

Content network here I come!

I’m not sure how valid this is because I haven’t tried it.

I read of a tactic where you put up a keyword rich dummy page of content with a privacy policy link, etc. and let it run for a few days. If your ad is good, you get clicks so it costs you to establish a good QS.

If you get a good and steady QS, then you DO NOT change the url, but you put your real offer on it. I think this works best with new accounts that have not got any track record.

So it costs another $5.00 for a new account. It’s nothing when you consider the potential.

What does the info.dat file do in the rotator? Does it need to be uploaded to the server as well? Thanks

I’m also not quite clear how to set this script up. There are two folders in the download zip, “CT-Rotator Folder” and “_MACOSX” folder, and several files within each. Which ones are supposed to be uploaded? I tried to load only the “index.php” and also all the files, but I keep getting errors.

Any pointers? Thanks!

@B-Man
The info.dat file acts as a count for the script. It does need to be uploaded as well.

@Jack
If you have your computer to show all system files that is probably what you are seeing. Just upload the index.php and the info.dat files

I would like to have some clarification to understand the strategy:

I have read the post several times but here is where I am confused:
To quote:
————————
Now it’s just a matter of sending visitors to your site via the ?kw=keyword function. Remember, your URL should now look like: http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php?kw=keyword
————————-

What I don’t understand is that what is meant by keyword here. Suppose I am promoting a free iphone offer and one of the keyword I am using is “free iphone”, do I have to make my ad url like this:
http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php?kw=free+iphone

I would be real great if this thing is clarified with some examples for newbies like us.

Thanks in advance

Kara-
If you wanted to track specific keywords that convert you would use the http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php?kw=keyword function. Yes http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php?kw=free+iphone is the proper format for this.

My best advice would be to upload this to your hosting account and just play with it. Hands on experience is always the best!

Will url rotator script work with Xtreme Conversions (a keyword conversion tracking script) and LPGen?

I really don’t know… I don’t see why not. It’s always worth a shot. If you do try it and it works, please let us know!

Does anyone else know the answer?

Hi Kris. Ultra Ultra noob here…
Can this method work just by putting my affiliate link straight into the frame option in namecheap’s URL forwarding menu? I don’t have my own hosting yet and no technical skill whatsoever.

Also will google ban you if they catch you using this method or simply stop the campaign? Thanks.
