I'm just getting started in CPA and I'm currently working on iframed offers. The next obvious step for me is to include an iframe rotator and then dynamic keywords.

AdWords QS boggles my mind. I started up a campaign for a gift card. It ran over night with decent results - $10 spent, $16 came in. I went into the AdWords account in the morning and upped my daily budget, paused keywords with a low CTR, and added an ad variation. At this time the QS is around 7 for the first page of keywords.

When I checked on the ads around lunch time the QSs have all fallen below 3 and I had only a handful of impressions. Obviously the QS dropped almost immediately after I made the tweaks. I didn't touch the original ad (except to remove a trailing / from the display URL). Anyone know what happened?

Hi Kris. Ultra Ultra noob here...
Can this method work just by putting my affiliate link straight into the frame option in namecheap's URL forwarding menu? I don't have my own hosting yet and no technical skill whatsoever.

Also will google ban you if they catch you using this method or simply stop the campaign? Thanks.

I really don't know... I don't see why not. It's always worth a shot. If you do try it and it works, please let us know!

Does anyone else know the answer?

Kara-
If you wanted to track specific keywords that convert you would use the http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php?kw=keyword function. Yes http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php?kw=free+iphone is the proper format for this.

My best advice would be to upload this to your hosting account and just play with it. Hands on experience is always the best!

I would like to have some clarification to understand the strategy:

I have read the post several times but here is where I am confused:
To quote:
------------------------
Now it’s just a matter of sending visitors to your site via the ?kw=keyword function. Remember, your URL should now look like: http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php?kw=keyword"
-------------------------

What I don't understand is that what is meant by keyword here. Suppose I am promoting a free iphone offer and one of the keyword I am using is "free iphone", do I have to make my ad url like this:
http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php?kw=free+iphone

I would be real great if this thing is clarified with some examples for newbies like us.

Thanks in advance

@B-Man
The info.dat file acts as a count for the script. It does need to be uploaded as well.

@Jack
If you have your computer to show all system files that is probably what you are seeing. Just upload the index.php and the info.dat files

I'm also not quite clear how to set this script up. There are two folders in the download zip, "CT-Rotator Folder" and "_MACOSX" folder, and several files within each. Which ones are supposed to be uploaded? I tried to load only the "index.php" and also all the files, but I keep getting errors.

Any pointers? Thanks!

I'm not sure how valid this is because I haven't tried it.

I read of a tactic where you put up a keyword rich dummy page of content with a privacy policy link, etc. and let it run for a few days. If your ad is good, you get clicks so it costs you to establish a good QS.

If you get a good and steady QS, then you DO NOT change the url, but you put your real offer on it. I think this works best with new accounts that have not got any track record.

So it costs another $5.00 for a new account. It's nothing when you consider the potential.
