Sort of a sad time in my busy life really. Effective immediately CashTactics will be under new leadership. Kris Trujillo whom I consider a friend and a remarkable young man and marketer (of course!) will be taking on the leadership role here and in the Discussion Forum. What gives Ruck, where was the Sitepoint auction?
I always said I would never sell this blog or forum. It was never about the money ( from what this blog has made, you know I’m so right!). I always said that if I was going to stop blogging that I would either find someone whom I trusted to take over or I would simply delete it. However, after meeting a ton of great people and hopefully helping a few out, deleting it is simply not an option. Not with the success some are having, getting rid of the 10 months of information piled up here and in the forum will be better served to someone who is able to dedicate more time to it and carries the same passion with helping people as I do. Kris fits in perfectly. To sell such a blog and community that seems like an insult to me and all of you.
I met Kris in person just last week up in Ottawa, Kansas to discuss this. Even though I have been collaborating with him for over a year now, the guy just seemed like someone I could trust. After many things I have shared with him, I ABSOLUTELY know I can trust him. I hope you will too, cuz honestly, the guy is sharp!
A little background on Kris…
I met Kris over a year ago. Kris brings a ton of knowledge and some really cool aspects to CashTactics. Not only is he a fellow PPC and CPA Marketer but he also deals in retail affiliate marketing and is a product owner who runs his own affiliate program. The difference between Kris and I is that he will be able to carry over the same conversations I had here and add some new flavor. Kris can put another meaning to the term “CashTactics”.
This was something that I simply was not going to be able to do. While I have not given up my personal Affiliate Marketing, I have moved into the Corporate World of running a CPA Affiliate Network. I’ve given up quite a few things to pursue this course of business and now it’s time to shift focus and concentrate primarily on that. On top of this, I am turning towards becoming a Merchant which moves me even further away from Affiliate Marketing. With being a Merchant and concentrating a lot more on email and data collection I feel that some of these topics will be better served where the action projects are taking place.
Another thing is that June is rapidly approaching. I come back from Ad Tech Miami on June 5th and anyone that has ever spoken to me personally already knows that I am a complete no-show in June and thru the summer. While I will be concentrating on the Network and my own personal business, it will slim down tremendously for me. What’s the reason?
I can tell you the reason is that I will be the furthest away from working I can possibly be. I dont take many vacations and by god, I am going to this year. I have no idea where I am going but Lana and the kids and myself are going somewhere! There’s really no point in working your ass off if you dont take time to enjoy it so I intend to do just that.
I’m not really one for goodbyes so I wont give one here. The readers of this blog and members of the forum that have migrated to the Convert2Media Affiliate Network are still working with me and the rest of the C2M team and that is basically where I am concentrating my time. While I do hate to leave, there was never any goals with this blog except to help people and hopefully by sliding Kris in here as a new leader the goals will not go un-met.
I will still be posting here and in the forum as well when I have time. I’m not up and leaving just like that, but I wanted to give a shout-out to let everyone that I am indeed taking a far less active role here and switching gears to concentrate solely with others who are making money in CPA Marketing.
It’s been a blast and I thank everyone for reading and their support. Remember that most of you have my contact details and if you dont, Kris will be more than happy to give them to you. With that said, I cant wait till Kris introduces himself and sees what he is going to bring to the table. I would expect a better community environment instead of the tyrannical dictatorship I was running. :)
Welcome aboard Kris!
and,
I hope to see and hear from the CT Members! You can contact me at any time.
Sincerely,
Ruck.

Man, I can’t believe you’re leaving… but then I can’t believe how much you do anyway, so I guess something had to give.
I’ve chatted with Kris a few times and we’ve worked together on a small project. I can’t imagine anyone better suited to running the site. It’s being left in very good hands.
