Hello Ruck,
First thank you for the generic, but helpful post. Frankly Something is better than nothing at all. Here is my problems I faced when I try to register with some of the Networks.

1. I am from Sri Lanka, and many Networks don’t accept applications from my country at all.

2. English is not my native language. Though I can write comparatively acceptable level, my spoken English is horrible, as well as I am facing big difficulties with the foreign accents (Specially over the phone, and noisy long distance calls)

3. Time Difference - The representative of Hy**a Network called me on 1am when I am fast asleep, and I think the conversation was a bad experience for both of us, and the result…I think you can guess.

Anyways..thank you for the good advices. One thing I’d like you to comment. Is there any specific application to manage all the affiliate accounts?

@ Flash Developer - Sri Lanka is most likely setup on automatic to deny affiliates. I deny from Russia and Turkey. Dont ask why, just personal reasons.

2. Yea that most likely is a problem so in that case a chat client or email is about all you can do.

3. That just sucks lol.

I dont about managing all affiliate clients. That’s interesting and would love to hear other thoughts on that from anyone that has one. Personally I have a folder of favorites with an exhausting list of networks in it operated with a login manager –Roboform.

Ruck,
I went to Convert2Media after reading your post to see if I am still there and found that I can no longer login with my username/pw
That means my account has been deleted. As far as I remember I didn’t give any fraudulent info so wonder I got the axe.

On reading about the problems FlashDeveloper faces as a non-English speaker with foreign accents, I feel that it may have been the case with me if you perchance were calling me last night (my time) becoz I did get a call but becoz of noisy phone connection I couldn’t understand anything. This is just a guess on my part that it was you calling me. It may be someone else also.

Would be glad if you could clarify this for me and help me get back into the program if possible.

All the best

Not getting accepted into a network can be aggravating.

I have never used the comment box when filling out network applications. I will remember that in the future and see if it makes a difference for me.

There are times I have done everything you suggest, and I still do not get accepted. It can get frustrating!

Ruck, you put up very useful points.

Most of us are familiar with Affiliate Networks but very few really dedicate time and take this business seriously when filling the applications.
