Writing lengthy articles never has been my forte’, but I guess I really should reconsider it, and possibly spend more time figuring out how to write better articles that apply directly to my interests.

Thank you for the tips. However, article directory submission doesn’t seem to be the cleanest way of getting traffic. I mean, that the more the better formula applies here, and only this one. It is very clear that no-one reads those articles and they are purely technical so there is no sense in investing in quality article writing for directories. At least for the businesses with high competition.

Thats a good list of article sites.

Given the time consuming nature of writing articles, does anyone here have any opions on article spinning so you dont send duplicate ones to different directories?

I can definitely agree to that. It is a valid method of getting more exposure and traffic. they are very thorough and they do not allow crappy articles.

you have write a nice blog.There may be little doubt that article submission as a way to extend site visitors and improve search engine ranking shouldn’t be a fad. There may be debate about whether or not or not Google will continue to modify its rating algorithm to lower the worth of the article backlinks. But for now, submitting articles to a free article listing stays a superb strategy to (1) brand your self and your web site, (2) enhance the number of one-means backlinks to your site and (three) acquire focused human guests to your site.

Very much agreed on the point about making sure you send the reader to the right page on your website! Often times I will read a squidoo lens or ezine article and the writer will say, for more information about “How to build links” visit abc.com. Instead of taking them to the exact page on the site which may be: abc.com/link building

Writing good articles and submitting them to the directories that some have suggested is good. Don’t forget to keyword optimise though, ideally around 1 or 2 phrases maximum, and definitely have the keyword term as early in the title as you can. Also make sure the anchor text linking to your site or blog in the resource box contains your keyword term exactly.

Finally, I’d always ‘close’ for the click in your resource box, and get them to at least read it by not making your article finish the subject entirely, but lead on naturally to the resource box.
