Seems a bit harsh to ban all of India especially on your blog, But i do understand it. You not done a blog post in ages Kris
Please don’t generalize countries like that. It hurts…
I agree, there are probably more spammers in India than other places, but that’s primarily because our population is huge (3 times that of US) You are disappointing honest folks like us who have never involved with such activities. I have lived in US for 10 years and recently returned and I know bad people exist everywhere and that should not make us stereotype people by race/religion/country of origin.
I also think that it’s not very fair to ban the whole country, because of some spammers.
The whole country isn’t banned just people coming in from that hostname in India.
I’ll open it back up in about a month. Or until I can get some better spam protection. I tried banning a range of IPs but that didn’t stop them. That hostname was responsible for about 3-4 hours of work a day.
Not a permanent thing though don’t worry.

don’t you think you are being too harsh? ban those ips not the whole country
Cash Tactics, you should use Captcha. I use that and my spam count and gone down so much! I don’t like having spammers post things on my blog as well. It’s very annoying. I enjoy getting real comments from people and comments that add good feedback to my site.
Can you elaborate a bit more on your issues. We are looking to open an office there and this could help us not make the same mistake. Thanks.
Dont generalize like this but you are kinda right though…. link spammers or guys that are looking for jobs in foreign countries should have some ethics. It gets really annoying i understand you buddy.
I hope you do understand that 90% of these spammers are employed by third world countries? I know what you are saying is nothing racist… factual indeed. But thought i would point out the firstly mentioned fact as well.
We accidentally banned that in Syndk8 to stop the spammers and had lots of genuine users complaining.
Yes i know its annoying but many Indians that are not spammers use it.
Please reconsider.
