Quick Vid. It is probably a little hazy. Any probs after viewing and still cannot get it, just message me. I never used CJ before with Kaboodle until this question was asked but took some time this afternoon and got it down.

Grab Affiliate link, paste in browser, go to that page, add to kaboodle. Then go into your Kaboodle and click that image. Watch your tab closely and you’ll see it parse the actual aff link to the product page :)
It was a quick video, I apologize. Super anarchy today. As for posting video methods, this will soon become easier as I start preparing Google Presentations so you can just login from the forum and watch the methods as I do them.
Thanks Ruck, you are so cool. Much appreciated.
Scott
Thanks for posting this video Ruck. You can do the same thing to add Amazon products from your Astores.
Absolutely…or into Amazon directly :)
If you find yourself doing this a lot you can save some time and effort by using my free mashup script (click my name for the link).
All the steps Ruck took to highlight and copy the affiliate link in CJ can be replaced by using the script to search for a product and then right-clicking one of the results and selecting ‘copy link location’ (in firefox) or ‘copy shortcut’ (in IE). Then carry on from there.
You can add a dozen products in a few seconds this way. It’s also a useful way of grabbing an affiliate link for a product you might be blogging about etc.
HugePedlar, Thanks for the free script idea. Boy do I have my work cut out for me today. I kanow I will be in the forum a lot today!
Ruck, Thanks for the video. I too need to see things to get a handle on them.
Thanks for the video, Ruck. I probably speak for all of us when I say that we REALLY appreciate your response and your effort! You’re a champ! (:
Hi Guys
A quick question please.
I watched Ruck’s video and want to implement what he discussed today, except with Amazon as stated by Xray and Ruck.
Can someone give a quick instruction on how to work this with Amazon or with Amazon products?
Ruck
Thank you very muchhhhhhhh.
Try this search in Google “adding lists to kaboodle” and guess who is number 1…..
Sukh
Absolutely fabulous Ruck, for long-term business building!
Thank you for the vid champ, you truly are a champ ruck thank you so much.
@ Ed — Take your affiliate links from Amazon and do it the same way as here. Just go back and click your image and watch the url parse in your tab to make sure it tracks properly. Everything I have seen so far works with Kaboodle but you should check anyway.
Just signed up with Wrapables. Now waiting for approval.
So we can do this with any affiliate links?
I have one more question. We do not need to set this up on a web page right? We are just submitting direct links with our affiliate URL?
Ruck, Nice Look!
I like the looks of the new site. WOW!
thanks Ruck.
Geez, I feel like a real dummy Ruck, but what does this mean:
“..watch the url parse in your tab..”
Thanks,
Scott
wow, is it a mistake or did the blog just take off like a rocket from planet xion? the feed reeder is showing that there are now 28259 readers. also, the blog looks nice man.
back to work now. peace.
@scott,with url parse i think he means
watch the affiliate link redirect to the destination url
Hi Ruck,
Thanks for the really interesting Kaboodle posts.
I hope you don’t mind if i link to them from my blog (http://www.rickiogston.com).
Keep up the awesome work on the blog.
Ricki
Good info on the Kaboodle stuff. Only thing I wanted to clarify is that it is still best to send the traffic to our own sites if possible (for email capture, upselling, etc), rather than directly to the affiliates site. Yes, it is easier to do this, but don’t forget to think long term.
Ok, I’m having some trouble with some of the links. Generally my affiliate link is different from the link that shows when you get to the destination page. For example if you use clickbank, your hoplink will redirect to whatever.com?your name. do you stillget credit if someone clicks on that link? Same goes for CJ and many others. Maybe I am just adding the links the wrong way but with Firefox I go to the page and then use the add to kaboodle button.
go thru the order process and look at the bottom you’ll see your affiliate ID in brackets.
As for CJ, just watch the url parse in your tab and you can see the affiliate link process. Watch close, it happens fast.
In short most links are different when they get to the destination.
Great stuff Ruck, Yet another money making tactic that is sure to bring success to many of us.
This sound like it is going to be awesome Ruck :
” As for posting video methods, this will soon become easier as I start preparing Google Presentations so you can just login from the forum and watch the methods as I do them.”
Can’t wait for this, it is going to be a great help to many of to see exactly how it is done.No excuses then.
hi ruck, when I am paste the cj aff link to my browser, which is something like andozers.net/cd……, it redirects me to a website http://www.something.com/id=…
I added to kaboodle and it added the link ‘Buy it’ to http://www.something.com/id=.., which is incorrect. What do you say?
It not adding on kaboodle the correct aff link…
Gother,if you hover your mouse over “buy it” or product image
what link do you see at the bottom of your browser?
If it is the affiliate link is all good!
ok, when i grab a link from cj.com, and put into my browser it is something like http://www.andozers.net?id=.. and after the redirect it lands on a website like http://www.websiteproduct.com?id=…, and this is the aff link that kaboodle put on the list page when adding a product, which is not correct.
Like I have said, I have not done CJ products other than the one in the video, however how do you know it’s not the right link? It did the exact same thing to me but I can clearly see my affiliate link at the bottom of the browser.
When you click your image can you see in your tab that it parses the affiliate link? Also, I just hit the buy it link in Kaboodle on the product I put in there and watched it parse without problems.
Not all affiliate programs/links are going to act the same way so other than not being able to see your product page, I am not much help. Send me an email via contact form.
This doesn’t work at all for CJ. If you want that CJ track you orders customer must click on affiliate link and not landing page link. When you hit “Add to kaboodle”, it parse landing page link.
Cj work in this way:
Customer click on affiliate link, request go to CJ server, CJ server put cookie on customer side and then redirect to advertiser landing page. After this CJ cookie is used to proove that it was your order. If you submit to Kabooble the final link (landing page link) After click by customer there are will be no cookie on his side and order will not be yours.
a tiny bit hazy … it did cause me to crack a smile … the comments made :D
Yes, just a little hazy. So are you getting the product page in the browser, then pasting the aff link in without hitting enter, but then hitting add to kaboodle?
