Going thru some changes tonight. Take the kids or loved one out. Remember, to always back up your stuff or you screw yourself.

Yeah backup onto a remote server, thats the lesson I learned this week. A rootkit came in and fucked up my server, and corrupted backups…

No not intially but after the mind boggling that it has given us over the last two days. I would not feel out place to say that it might as well be.
The new layout is slick Ruck – I like it. What about adding some type of image as a target in the sniper’s site in your logo?

Knowing how much you know about SEO and all, Is there an advantange to having the “Recent Posts”, “Recent Commentators” and “Recent Forum Posts” right under your header?
Looks good so far, Ruck. Maybe a little foreign to people who have already been here because I was used to a certain layout. But, we will all get used to it. Glad to see you putting some ads on here. For all this info you are giving you deserve a shot at monetizing the site.
@Scott – Well the Presscut theme was kind of hard to work with. At least for me there are some things in the future that I wanted to incorporate but the old theme would have seemed crammed.
@ Denise – Yes and no. Yes in a sense that it does increase internal and inbound links. However this blog is set to only have the post pages indexed so I avoid category, archive pages getting indexed and me getting hit with a duplicate content penalty.
For the top of the blog I really wanted wanted new information showing. Such as recent posts, commentators and forum posts. Right off the bat it will provide a quick scan for people and see if this blog is something they want to read.
Thanks Ruck, that answered my question. I was wondering if I started a new blog if this is a better way to go than with having everything on the sidebar. I was under the impression that you wanted the bots to see the fresh content first, but if only your posts are getting indexed I guess it really does not matter.

Looks decent. Not as good as it would have looked if i made it of course :). I rarley see the template of any blogs anyway since i read everything in my feedreader.

i am coming back to your blog after some time. i like the new design except for the header! That green one was “cool” – unlike the depressing grey one that you currently have. any plans for changing it back to the green one?
