Why CashTactics Will Never Be An A-List Blog

A lot of forum drama and a boatload of bickering between bloggers has spawned this post. You know that part when someone like John Chow says that you should not reveal your failures to have a successful blog? I think that is utter bullshit. I’m going to come right out and say it from the bottom of my heart. I’m not looking for self-pity or compliments. I am going to straight up tell you why this blog will never be a chart topper in the Make Money Online niche.

  1. Because I dont feel it can be – No Confidence is a bad thing.
  2. Because my business and blog postings do not revolved around one business model online. People have always said in forums that you cannot be an expert in everything from PPC, SEO, Email, and yada yada. Oh yea? Well, I’m f#cking doing it. I do it everday, and the income is not going down, it’s going up. I may not be an expert and I never claimed to be, but I do this day in and day out fulltime and it is not doing anything but making my bank deposits larger and securing a better future for my fiance and 3 kids.
  3. Because I am a smart mouthed asshole. This I will admit has had ramifications on me. However if your a tenderfoot who cant handle it, I did not want you reading this blog in the first place. My blog and the people who read it daily are winners. Winners dont quit when they get hammered on something they messed up with, they rise to the occasion and do it right the next time.
  4. Because I cuss. Again I will be honest with you. I have a grandfather that was a preacher for 40 some years. I dont go to church. Know what I do on Sunday? I work. Most of the time my most productive days come on Sundays because everyone else is taking the day off.
  5. Because I have done some super blackhat stuff. Some of the things I have done online I am not proud of. I get hit with emails every week of readers seeing something I posted and disapproving of it. Why they take the time and write me to rant about it, I will never know. Maybe they feel some sense of accomplishment. Yea, I get it. I have done some really shitty, shady things online. Do I regret them? Sorry, I dont live in the past, I look towards the future. I think some the aggressive things I have done or try to pull scares a lot of people.

I’m not your ordinary type of make money blogger. I dont fill this blog up with shit I THINK will make you money. I fill it up with things I KNOW you can make money with. A lot of them are just simple methods you can do for cash online. Where the meat lies is when I talk about how I try to build my businesses online. (Or at least that’s what I think).

A lot of people put a lot of thought in their business principles, ethics and moral. I can tell you right now if we were both feuding competitors in the Search Engines or a Pay Per Click campaign, you might be better than me, but I assure you that I will do every underhanded thing I can to get you out of my way. Plain and simple. I’m not the type of person to stand by and keep my mouth shut just because I think something is unethical. If I know about, I am going to talk about it. I think this is the biggest reason why this blog will never become one like the Chow’s or Shoemoney out there. Which is cool, those guys do their thing and I’ve seen them take a lot of heat over a number of things. I dont want to be known personally as some industry expert.

However this blog will grow to be as big as the readers who visit it want it to. That’s why I write. Thanks for listening, probably made no sense.

Now that was inspirational! That’s what I mean when I talk about the entrepreneurial spirit. Love what you do, raise a pirate flag and take no prisoners.

February 7, 2008

Lol.. Business is cut throat. People that take it personal are idiots. We are all in this to make money. I do believe that being a business person and acting completely ethical are next to impossible. Don’t feel bad about anything you have done (unless your hacking bank accounts. lol).

The bottom line is the country was founded on people that want to make a better life for their family and friends. The one’s that get their asses in gear succeed, the lazy SOB’s cry that the government should take care of them.

Do what you gotta do to make that paper my man..

If you lead us through the gates of hell, feel assured I will be right behind you.

February 7, 2008

I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the good work. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.

No Worries, you’re already preaching to the choir ;)

the other Jeff

Another good read . Thanks Ruck.

February 7, 2008

Ruck, spoken like a true american!

February 7, 2008

Despite your “lack of confidence” and all those “reasons” this blog will be huge anyway. I have a feeling that it will hit 1K RSS subscribers within 2 months.

February 7, 2008

Ruck, I am a part of the incentive world. I have had my fair share of crap! I know this was a venting session for you, but please know that you have inspired one little lady in Georgia to stand up and tell those who have nothing better to do than talk shit..”Kiss My Ass”
Its a good feeling!

February 7, 2008

What I like best about you is your a straight shooter you tell it how it is straight to the point no BS added.

Also if there is something you don’t know about(very rare) you admit to it .Not going on making something up.

Sure it might be great for your Image to go Lime Light. But I believe that is not who you are or about, you don’t like getting all the attention you like to keep it on a small scale and more Personal level.

February 7, 2008

I honestly hope your never an A-list blog. Seriously, A-list blogs are the most useless peices of crap on the internet. I’ve wasted more time reading the same old info over and over on them than anything else I’ve done online. The only thing they do provide, is inspiration.

I have learned more things in the 2 weeks I’ve been reading your blog than I have in the 3 months Iv been reading others.

Keep on keepin’ it real Ruck.

The OA

You create what works and you talk about what DOES work; not what may work.

Keep doing what ur doing man. It’s awesome.

February 7, 2008

Ruck, I don’t know why you let them get to you! I think everyone has their own style, and I, personally, don’t worry about what the Jone’s are doing.

Do what works for you and your family, and let the rest go. And I think you are wrong about the fate of your blog…

February 7, 2008

Very well Said.

February 7, 2008

You said you fill blog up with what you know will make money and not what you think wll make money. To me that is the most important. I am so sick of reading blogs that aren’t based on what people actually do but are just self-serving posts filled up with affiliate links . You walked the walk and that’s most real.

“All men dream but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible.”

Brutally honest… That is the best way to be. A guy (I’ll call him David X) extremely successful at the thing he liked to do told a story about when he was a kid there was this guy who would sit out in his driveway, working on his corvette alot. He was supposed to be like the coolest, toughest guy around. Little David X went up to the tough guy and said, “How can I be a big shot like you? What makes you so tough?”

The guy looked at him and said, “You have to be able to look anyone square in the face and tell them the truth no matter what. That’s the toughest thing to do.”

So this is why you pull quality readers here.

February 7, 2008

Take out reason #1 and change the title to Why this blog WILL be an A- List blog. I have been following you for about a year since the RJ forum. I love the straight , No BS , here it is attitude. You said it many times, Don’t be affraid to say what you feel and F*ck anyone who doesn’t like it. Keep doing what your doing, the bottom line is you make money online and help a lot of people for free. Many of these guys make money online by “helping people” as long as there is a price is right.

February 7, 2008

I would prefer someone to say they tried something and failed rather than b*llsh*t me and tell me they made tons of cash! What you give us are real workable ideas which we can build on,and to me that is gold! who cares whether this blog never gets to the A-list,for real methods and real experiances i would read this blog over all other supposed make money blogs.

February 7, 2008

Hahahahaha one of your most awesome posts yet Ruck.

It’s honesty like this that keeps your blog and forums at the top of the list of things I check several times a day.

Keep it up!

February 7, 2008

Ruck my man, I really love it when you talk like this. You made me laugh, think, and realize that I too, like most people on this blog, am beyond taking things personally that you write. I love the way you think and express yourself. You truly are a unique force to be reckoned with in this industry. And as for the lack of confidence… hey, I get that too. But you know watching your vids and reading your content I think you really have a lot to offer this industry. ALOT.

February 7, 2008

What do you mean it will never be an A-List blog? I see your Alexa ranking dropping every week. As long as it gets to under 3,000 you’ll be considered A-List. lol

February 7, 2008

There’s an old story about crabs.

If you put a single crab in a bucket, it will escape. If you put more than one crab in a bucket, the one trying to escape will be pulled back in by the ones below. Not because they’re evil or stupid or anything else, but because they can’t help themselves. They grab whatever is nearest and hold onto it, never realizing that if they’d just let go and watch, they might learn how to escape their “prison.”

Most people are crabs.

You’re the crab outside the bucket Ruck.

So fuck ’em.

Let them hold each other down and feel nice and comfortable by following the rules, and doing what crabs do and never rocking the boat, or waking up and paying attention, or trying to learn, or think outside the “bucket.”

You have an A-1 blog bro.

The thing is, it’s also for A-1 people.

The ineternet is full of B levels and below.

Do you really WANT a blog that the average reader considers great?

Based on what I’ve seen, the answer to that is of course, “negative.”

So I say again, “Fuck ’em.”

February 7, 2008

I have to disagree with you Ruck. This is exactly the reason why you’re blog WILL be A1.

Anyway, you don’t want to compare yourself to others, just keep on keeping on posting great methods and thought provoking outbursts.

You’re blog is already A1 to me. You have no competition because you’re blog is unique in the way that you tell it how it is. You don’t make stuff up like 90% of shitty gurus do.

You offer (Tried and tested) methods to help everyone make more and you do not offer what you think may work but actually, you share your ideas that do work.

Keep the faith man and don’t change anything as you’re doing a fine job.

February 7, 2008

You’re on my newly adopted A list….
First time poster
I discovered your site take it back I discovered You since than you entered my homepage tabs.
I have yet to see posts similar to yours in honesty and warmth. You deserve the success you’re getting. I learned from you zillion times compared to other sites blabla….
keep it up.

Ruck – also a first time poster – but not first time reader. I’ve been on an on-line anti-scam crusade for 8 years and finally just got tired of it. Thanks for telling it like it is, but MUCH moreso for not acting like these idiots that preach about some deep, dark secret they discovered. I love what you’re about.

February 7, 2008

I like the ‘punk rock’ approach that some, such as yourself, are taking toward making money online. It reminds me of Nirvana vs. the hair metal bands in the early 90’s.

February 7, 2008

For me it’ll always be an A-list blog. Whether a blog deserves an A-list status or not, is decided by it’s readers not by it’s author. Keep giving us nice gems in your posts and forget about any status. This blog is so informative that slowly it will expand on it’s own to huge proportion just on the basis of what we call ‘word of mouth publicity’.

February 7, 2008

Whatcha? Who the hell said this wasn’t a “A-list” Blog? Like everyone else before me, that is bullshit! To those of us who have been fortunate enough to follow this blog and forum daily, this is already a A-list blog.

You just keep doing what you’re doin now and it’ll all work itself out in the long run.

Your blog is not like anyone elses and that is why it’ll be in a class of its own….

You are in a freakin Unique A-list of your own.

February 7, 2008

What can I say?

Just keep on keepin on, and rolling like you always have.

February 7, 2008

Hi Ruck

I found your blog about two months ago (from BHW forum). Since then I am hooked.

I use to stay on Warrior, Digital Point etc forum but now your site is my home page and it gets refresh every 5 minutes on my pc. I have learnt great stuff here. Please keep it up.

February 7, 2008

Have to disagree with you about the A-List thing. CashTactics IS already an A-Lister in terms of the quality of the content you provide. You have integrity and you have a sincerity about you that is absent from the majority of the make money online bloggers. You don’t try to blow ice cream up anyone’s skirt – you give it to us straight with no chaser. And that’s the way I (and everyone who has commented before me) like it.

I could go on, but everyone else has pretty much summed up what needs to be said (and said it quite well I might add).

February 7, 2008

We don’t want it with sugar. We want it nasty. PIGNASTY!
Keep it at a level we can all understand.

Keep it simple, stupid! Thats why we like it.

February 8, 2008

What the hell is an A-list blog??? I honestly can say I don’t know and probably have never been to one.

Besides, this is the ONLY blog I read at all. There were a handful of others that I occasionally went to (like Eli’s), but I hardly have the time to jump from blog to blog reading what others have to say, much less the forums.

As for being an expert, you don’t have to be an expert at anything you do, only good at what you do and how you do it. “Experts” are overrated in my opinion.

February 8, 2008

delete posts

you crock of shit.

all you want is people to pat you on the back.

February 8, 2008

I only delete posts because your a dumbass who likes to sit in mommy’s basement and talk shit. Why dont you try making something of yourself.

I picture you as a 19 worthless dropout or a 60 year old man who never made nothing of himself. I might be off but you could also be a 30 yr old frustrated that you cant get a grip on life. Either way, I’ll leave this one up for the mob to attack your dumbass. When you come with your real identity maybe I let one by.

February 8, 2008

Actually, I would like to know what , other than general bogging climate here lately, sparked you to make this Blog Post, Ruck.

February 8, 2008

Forum Drama and some bickering amongst other bloggers as stated above.

February 8, 2008

Ok, just makin sure there wasnt anyone in particular setting you off, Ruck.

*I am Proficient up-to 300 meters with a M16A2 and M4, you know that, right? ;)

*Disclaimer- I do not offer my services lol

February 8, 2008

Lol, I don’t really know what an A-list blog is, but I bet you could get members here to make you one. Why don’t you ask everyone to link to this blog with the anchor text

A List Blog

Then you would in effect be an A List Blog

Soz, just a crazy idea I came with with. Probably better if you got everyone to link to you with internet marketing blog or summat… I’d be up for it though mate, seriously

February 8, 2008

I had actually never visited your blog until tonight. I may be here till late tomorrow cramming this in.
Great blog

February 8, 2008

@ Greazy, Ha, that was a good one. No one in particular really. Got some blog trolls start roam about but they dont make it very far.

@ Daniel – Love you man, thanks a bunch.

@ Jon – Thanks man, much appreciated

February 8, 2008

Sorry I’m so late on this post! I am not sure what an a-list is (asshole-list?) Many here could have possinle made that list. :-)

An asshole is always much better than a dumb ass, don’t you think? Jimm fits the second catagory I believe.

I may not be here as often as most people are here but that is because I am busy applying the things that Ruck is posting here.

Ruck, you have never let me down or lied to me. Why would I ever care what other people think?

Ruck you are what the so called a-listers look to for inside information.

We are lucky enough to get the scoop here first. And we get it for FREE! :-)

February 8, 2008

Hey Ruck,

All I can say is that you aren’t boring, you’re prolific as hell, and the more of your outside-the-box, underhanded tactics that I can learn, the better.

February 8, 2008

I Heart Ruck

Your Blogs an A list blog in my book. Infact because of your blog, I have stopped reading other blogs and forums… i was wasting my time with them.

Keep up the good work.

:) JerkJr

February 8, 2008

Love your blog.

But I don’t agree with some commenters that seem to be building a false binary.

You are either a pirate/mercenary/slightly unethical business person, OR you are a wimpy/big hair/whining/unAmerican loser.

There are shades of grey here, folks.

February 9, 2008

“You are either a pirate/mercenary/slightly unethical business person, OR you are a wimpy/big hair/whining/unAmerican loser.

There are shades of grey here, folks.”

That’s seriously funny my man :o), but Ruck aint either, I know the guy and he was just havin a rant… Ya know, let off some steam

February 10, 2008

The message is simple, honest, and gives no regard to being politically correct…just up my alley. Great post and keep it up! I just found this blog/site, will definitely be coming back.

February 13, 2008

Don’t worry Ruck,

Only a SANE person can appreciate help when its given to them on a silver platter.

All of this valuable information could have been kept for your own personal gain, but you chose to share…

Thank You

February 14, 2008

Cool post, i get the fealing that i also cant’t crack this niche term for my blog,anyway..i got a question what blog platform do you use for this blog?Tnx

February 14, 2008

This blog is self-hosted with the WordPress 2.3 Platform

January 18, 2009

Man you are getting me really excited to try making money online again… This will be my 4th attempt to make money online. I will get it right this time. I found you on youtube.

January 27, 2010

Young Ruck..

I have not commented on your blog which seems like forever, but I like the fact that you have a “little captain” in you – as the Captain Morgan rum commercial sez. Being brash can be a good thing, and let he who is without “Internet Marketing” sin cast the first stone!

I liked your blog before you did the “big make over” and really loved what you have “done with the place” since. In addition, I visit your little slice of cyberspace because your marketing acumen is solid. You present money making blueprints that are applicable in real time.

At least from what I can gather, you really do practice what you preach. The problem with some A list “Make Money Guber – Roos”
(at least in my uninformed opinion) is that I don’t get the feeling from reading their material that they do the “heavy lifting” of testing
that you engage in.

Bottom line, I just think that it is better to be good, then to be famous. And, so far Young Ruck, your pretty dam good!….Just don’t go gettin a big ego on us if you do get off the “D” list….lol…..

On hale it up….

You have to fail in order to learn. No one is completely perfect and no one can expect anyone to be. To admit your failures is to admit being human. Everyone fails whether they want to admit it or not, it also builds character and good morals.

This comment just put your blog on my RSS reader for my phone, and you are now favourited.

Great reads here man.
