That is a good point about the negative keywords and also about appearing in non-english websites, I think its important to never forget the small details, as always… like my dad says “the devil is on the details”.

Often people complaining about fraud click or useless click or from non-niche site they getting traffic and not getting conversion or quality traffic so because of silly negative keyword, sure article helpful to people.

I’ve audited over 100 PPC accounts in the past six months and probably the single most glaring error was the sheer sparsity of negative keywords. (The 2nd biggest error was failing to add “peeled and stuck” keywords and/or keywords you have deleted back into the original group as a negative … if you don’t do that, Google can still serve the traffic on remaining broad or phrase matches in the group.

Theres another post on here that talks about adding negative keywords. You can build a report in the “reports” section of adwords that will show you where your ad is being shown. You then use this information to add your negative keywords.

Why would we think of putting cars as a negative word when we are targeting weddings. You would have to put a whole dictionary in to be specific.

That about “acai berry” .It use to happened to one of my friends. I know that he was trying to sell one book from one subject and on some ads there was book with same subject he was selling.:-). He was very nervous about that.

How many negative keywords do you guys feel comfortable adding to a content network campaign? I ported a list over from something I was running on search with a well-defined set of negatives and I couldn’t get any impressions – screwed around w/ the cpc, too. Do you guys throw in one-word negs, try at least 2-word w/ phrase, etc?
