Great post. That is definitely some slick stuff.

What I usually do is take a screenshot of the actual video itself,
but I like how that circle keeps turning as if the video wants to
load, but won’t until you click it.

Is there an image like that which says “click here to see this video”
instead of movie?

I’m using Google and Yahoo, but they obviously can’t provide this.

The ‘video’ is actually just a animated image pretending to be an actual video, in a sense its tricking the visitors or those who see it to want to click on it. I have it set for when someone clicks on it, it takes you to a BIG FAT LADY.. lol as humor. It is demonstrating how effective it is. Instead of linking to a fat lady, you link it from your landing page directly to the offer you are promoting. In many cases you will see a big increase in your landing page CTR and ultimately more profit or revenue.

Hey Ivan,

A 60% CTR to the merchant offer is the minimum you should for in most cases. My goal is always 70-80% but never stop testing. Always try to improve. The higher the better obviously. You can be profitable with a lower CTR but you are losing out on money if you don’t push for the highest possible CTR you can get.

Nice tips on how to improve your landing page CTR… What is a good CTR for a landing page in your opinion and experience?

My current CTR from landing page to merchant site is 60%… Do you think there is still room for improvement?

I hope to increase it to 70-75% CTR… by testing different images and different headline… :)
