Nothing happened here though. Had a few funnel clouds, alarms going off everywhere, but everything settled. Nice day today!

I sure remember tornadoes in Nebraska where I grew up. Running down to the basement on an average of two times per week usually began in April. Our town had emergency alarms that went off during tornado alerts.

It is early in the year for one, though.

This state has some of the worst storms. But when I was doing construction these storms actually made life better. I always had roofs and siding to repair.

This tornado last night is looked upon as a bad omen. I am not a superstitious person by nature but usually a storm like this comes in the last week of April – 1st week of money.

As mild as this winter has been and with this storm I fear it’s going to be a horrible spring and summer. This past spring we had the worst flood in twenty years. We literally could not travel west because the Neosho River came out over the road.

Makes for good fishing though…

Experts are predicting much more frequent “extreme weather events” such as this worldwide. (I guess recycling and driving less was too much to ask of us Americans.)
